Title: San Churro hot chocolate!
Post by: Thermo Jo (aka Jodi) on November 04, 2010, 01:34:28 pm
Holy cow! I bought my hubby some San Churro Aztec hot chocolate (the one with chilli & cinnamon) for his b'day.  We made it tonight in the TMX.

It is the most decadent warm drink!

Yummmmm!!!

 ;D

OMG we have just had them open here in Rockingham and I have so far manage to avoid them as I see a HUGE danger sign flashing over them  :-)) :-))

I took my boys to San Churros for a special morning tea last week!  They love "stick donuts"!  So do I.......and yummy hot chocolate too.

That sounds delicious!!!  I love chilli chocolate, and cinnamon - I wonder if I could make my own version with some raw cacao, ground up cinnamon sticks, and ground up dried chillies?  Is there anything else in it?  :)

Otherwise, my MIL lives in Rockingham and I'll be over to visit early next year!!!  ;D

Jodi I had to google San Churro to find out what I was missing out on! LOL.  Sounds very decadent and a perfect treat ;)
As it turns out it looks like DS couldn't eat or drink anything there so I am glad there isn't one nearby to tease us.  :-X

It's certainly not the sort of thing you'd have every day because it is quite expensive.  Worth every cent! but only as a treat for me.

You could very easily make your own.  Not too hard at all. Especially because the TMX will mill everything for you. SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

 ;D

Yes, that's probably the hardest bit.  I didn't have any for ages (only 3 in all my 18 mths), and suddenly I've got about 5 interested this month!!  Who knows if they'll all follow through, though - we'll see.  The month that I did my 10 demos (actually, 11), I also was cooking for a youth camp and had 4 sick kids - it was full on!!  But I love being a consultant, so I really wanted to see it through.  :)

Just getting back to you guys about coming to Perth... I'll be there from about the 12th to the 20th of February, and a few people have asked for a "Healthy, Allergy-Friendly" cooking class, so Meagan's helping me organize that, probably for the Saturday (19th) - do any of you want to come and join in, and have a bit of a get-together? I'd love to meet you guys in person!!  :)

That would be really wonderful. DH has said we are going away as soon as the kids go back to school, but hopefully I can swing him to go either before or after 19th. Thanks Meagan.
