Hi All,
My name is Trish and I am in Perth WA. I just ordered my Thermomix on Sunday. I did have a demonstration however I already knew I wanted one( have wanted one for about a year), so much so I think I knew more about it than the rep! LOL
We have a 4 month old baby and it is one of the key reasons my husband finally gave me the go ahead to order it. The health benefits as well as the time it saves.
I am trying to be patient as I wait for it but have already started looking for recipes so that when I do my Coles Online order this week, I have some ingredients that i can get crackin' with the Thermomix.
Cant wait to start some of the recipes in this forum also!

Hi Trish and welcome--I am in Perth too. I did that too - went and bought everything I would need to get started with some recipes the minute it arrived. You are in for so much fun!
-
Its terrible isnt it?? Its like when one was a kid and waiting for Christmas... now seeing we are in Perth, any idea how long it took to arrive???
-
Welcome ;D - might depend on your consultant and their schedule but you could get it this week. Have fun and happy Thermomixing!!
-
Welcome. Enjoy your time with your tmx!
-
Welcome, looking forward to hearing what you make.
Will be great for bubs to grow up with lots of lovely homemade food.
Hope it arrives soon, but at least you will be prepared.
-
Welcome Churchill. As well as stocking your pantry & fridge get some fruit (bananas, strawberries, watermelon ect) into the freezer for instant ice cream & sorbets. Have fun (Hope it comes this week)
-
Congratulations Trish! A very exciting time for you.
Where in Perth are you? I'm north of the river.
Hopefully you will get it this week. It will depend on how you paid for it. Finance can take up to 10 days for delivery. If it's paid in full, it should only be a couple of days.
Good luck!
-
Yippee!!! Hope it comes soon! ;D
-
Thanks everyone, its wonderful to see so many happy customers.
I did pay for it in full as the interest free finance was $75 to set up with $5.00 admin fees each month... so thought it was better to just pay.
Im located in Quinns Rocks so North of the river also.
Great idea re the fresh fruit, adding it to my list as I type!
-
Hi Trish and welcome. I hope your machine arrives soon and you can make lots of sorbets as it looks like you'll need it for the next few days. I'm SOR.
-
Hi Trish! I'm waiting for mine to arrive too, I am in Brisbane and mine is coming from Perth - so surely you'll get yours first?
Great idea about the shopping. I think I will have a pantry spring clean on the weekend ready for my groceries!
-
Hi Trish, welcome to the forum. Doesn't sound as if you will be dreaming much longer, your TMX will soon be delivered. You will find making baby's first solid meals a breeze - I hope bubby's bedroom is far enough away from the kitchen that you can cook whilst he/she is asleep.
-
Hi Trish and welcome to the forum.I hope your TM arrives soon, so you can get cooking.
-
I don't know what I would have done if I'd have had to wait ages for mine!!
Its fabulous - you're going to love it!!

Hi Trish - Welcome to the forum.
-
Its coming this AFTERNOON!! I have already cleared space on the kitchen bench! LOL
First port of call some sorbet with 37 degrees here at the moment!
-
Welcome Trish. I'm in Kojonup so a bit further south but it is warm today! Have got a sister up your way in Mindarie.
Am just enjoying a sorbet that I made using kiwi friut & banana. Probably put a bit much ice in but still yummy!!! Hope you are enjoying playing with your new toy!
-
Welcome churchill - well all I can say is you are going to love it when it comes. We hope you find this forum helpful and inspiring. We also look forward to trying out any converted recipes once you settle in as long as its not babyfood (tho other younger members would like that) :)
-
I want real sorbet weather!! Had one a week or so ago, got the kids home and had a yummy strawberry sorbet for afternoon snack, but not again. It's half way through November!! (in Sydney)
-
;) well, have you played with it yet?
-
Ohhhh I have already made:
1) Custard
2) chocolate icream
3) Apricot chicken risotto
4) the frothy milk for my latte... Now we have a Delonghi coffee machine and the milk to make in the Thermomix was sooooooo much easier and sooo nice and hot!
I can't wait to make things today! Sorbet may definitely be on the agenda with the 39 degree day ahead.. eeekkk!
-
Yippee!!! sounds like you're having fun ;D
-
It will definitely be sorbet today for you. It's not quite 9 and I heard that it was 31 already. I'm not prepared for heat it has hit us fairly quickly this time. I'm sure the thunderstorms will eventuate on Sunday as we have a car run and the weather is always weird. Oh well out with the garbage bags. As you may notice from the avatar our car still doesn't have side 'windows'. We haven't got wet yet though.
-
Is that your 'real' car?? Soooo cute! I love it! :D Love the old classics.
-
Oh my goodness it is so hot here in the west isn't it? Sorbet is an excellent idea. I have just come back from Woollies with two mangoes for this very reason!!
Cookie1 that car is just gorgeous.
-
You poor things over in the west - did you survive the heat today? I've had my jacket on nearly all day here (in FNQ!!) - it's been breezy and rainy - 22 degrees in the middle of the day. :)
-

I hate to tell you this Cookie in case you hadn't noticed but it doesn't have a roof either ;) ;)

Welcome Trish - I can relate to your research prior to your purchasing the wonder that is TMX. Enjoy!
Cheers
Robyn :)

Sorry Judy, I have just had a really good laugh. The avatar was taken earlier, the car now has a roof! But no side windows. I'd forgotten the avatar one was early.
Yes Jo it is our real car. That one and the one that is in millions of pieces out the back as well. The going one is a 1930 Model A Ford and we take it for monthly runs or rallies. It is really fun to ride round in, although it feels funny with no seat belts. It is weird to drive as it has 2 small levers on the steering column that advance and retard the motor as well as the normal 3 foot pedals, but the accelerator is only a lever in the middle. It doesn't like going up hills much, but chugs down them quite well. We have a run tomorrow. We all meet at a central place and are given directions to the morning tea spot and then on to the lunch spot where we have our monthly meeting. Great fun.
It was warm yesterday. Today is hot but very overcast as they are expecting storms. We haven't had much rain this year so I'm not believing them.
-
Well its 530 and still no rain.... hopefully we shall get some soon as its very muggy!
I have cooked up another storm today using the Thermomix and I think my hubby is loving it... and now agrees its worth every penny.. he he he
I think some things I need to tweak the taste but I think that will come with time as I get to know what does what... so today:
1)bread rolls and hollaindaise sauce so that we had ham and eggs on the fresh rolls with the lovely sauce.
2) custard AGAIN ( My hubby is in love with it)
3) Lemon Meringue
4) I prepared some crucial parts for my meatloaf tonight and will be making the mash...
I seriously cannot believe how much use the baby is getting!
Have not attempted the sorbet yet, maybe tonight.... ;)
-
Go for the sorbet in this weather. Last night I used a banana, the flesh from one mango and a heap of fresh pinapple. No sugar at all and it was lovely and cooling.
-
Belated welcome Churchill - sounds like you are having too much fun
