Hi there!
So I'm thinking of including a harissa paste in my christmas hamper this year-does anyone have a go to recipe?
Cheers!

I found this one - does it look right to you??? Let us know if you try it how it turned out? ;)
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutesIngredients:
•10-12 dried red chili peppers
•3 cloves garlic, minced
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•2 tablespoons olive oil
•1 teaspoon ground coriander
•1 teaspoon ground caraway seeds
•1/2 teaspoon cumin
Preparation:
Soak the dried chilies in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain. Remove stems and seeds.
In a food processor combine chili peppers, garlic, salt, and olive oil. Blend.
Add remaining spices and blend to form a smooth paste.
Store in airtight container. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on top to keep fresh. Will keep for a month in the refrigerator.

WooW!! My DS just made this for his music teacher and my lips are burning just from being in the same room!! :o He made it on 10 habanero chili and added some red capsicum to give it colour. I had to put a warning label on it saying: WARNING!!!!Guaranteed to blow your socks off!!! Keep out of reach of children! (with hazard symbols)
