Title: How long do the live?
Post by: joynatalie on November 30, 2010, 09:50:43 am
I was wondering how long the more experienced have had their thermos and if there is a life expectancy? I know there are the 21 still for sale on eBay and am wondering if  there are plans to make a 41?

My TM will be 5 years old in February 2011.I have met people here in the U.K. who have had earlier models of TM's for about 25 years.I don't know if they have an upgrade in the pipeline, maybe the demonstrators might know.

There is no talk of it. The Tm 31 came out in 2005 it is from my understanding at least  a 15yr change over.

ETA - Just wanted to clarify I meant the change over in models as in when there may be a new model, not the amount of time it will last for.

I bought my TM21 in 2004, and it's still going fine - I sold it to my sister and bought the new model about 18mths ago.  I've heard of people who've had tmx's for 25yrs!!  I met a German lady who lives here and has a Vorwerk vacuum cleaner, and it's over 25 yrs old and still going strong!  They're a very reliable company.

I've also had mine for about 4 years with no hicups.  I am expecting many more good years from it!!!

It's good to read all of the above. For the price we really should get many years from the machine. Mine does get used very frequently, several times a day on an average day, even if only to prepare things for meals not cooked in the TMX. I think once we have owned a TMX we could never be without one again.
