We've all been chatting about the Travelling with Thermomix book but the title refects different things for different people.
Many of us like to take our TMX away when we go on holidays/camping but we dont have room for the whole fridge and pantry in the car as well.
What sort of tasty, easy recipes does everyone make, that doesn't require a lot of ingredients that would be well suited to holiday style cooking?

Jodi I tend to decide as to what I have available. Be sure to take some veggie stock concentrate. I make risottos, things like baf's chicken and lots of soup. But that won't be much good in winter. Do you have an oven available? That could help. When we went away in May I looked through all the recipe I had printed off and selected some and took what I needed-within reason.
We had Judy's beef and beer, also swiss beef. As I remember more I'll put them down.
I always make sure I have a dish to make varoma bread too. You can add sultanas to make it sweet. Mine is a small casserole dish that fits and can be used as a salad bowl or to make casseroles.

I haven't made this but think it's ingenious.

Always take this recipe and increase sugar to 3 TBS & add 1 tsp mixed spice & 1 tsp cinnamon. Also throw in a handful of sultanas near the end of the kneading. I'm sure I got this tweek from the thread.

Jan, that's awesome. We don't have an oven where we are going so that bread is genius! Love it.
I'm going to scan my books and see what I can take that packs small and light.

Oops. Sorry VHJ I have just included the Varoma bread too. I love it as we can sometimes run out if we're out on the Nullabor etc. If it's a cool morning it's fun to have it for morning tea too.
