I think it's a sign of a busy cook. :D :D

In my EDC I do but I have been more careful with the others. The index in my EDC stuck together one day and to prise them apart I ended up with some words and page numbers missing which is a darn nuisance if you are looking for a recipe and it is missing :-))
-
yup!
-
I even write in my cookbooks. I hate people writing in books but to me it's ok when it's a cooking book.
Judy the same thing happened to me, I do try to be careful of it now.

yep me too and i had same thing as judy happen. now i put my books in a plastic sleeve in a folder so food doesnt get all over them and i can still read the recipe

I use a cheap acrylic recipe stand, so there's no problem

But my books do have lots of graffiti in them :D

Where did you get yours from Maddy?

Me too ;)

My EDC has stuck together pages, splattered pages and ones with scribbled notes on it- the notes were written by me, not my 4 year old twins, although if you looked at the book, it may just as easily been written by them. I figure if you have a pristine cookbook, you are not using it enough!! Either that or I am an extremely messy cook.

I open the book to the page I need and slide it into a plastic bag - the looseleaf one will fit only in a jumbo bag.
However, I often scan and print a page if I am going to be using the recipe over and over and put it in its own ziplock bag or with other similar recipes. I can then hang it up where it is at eye level - easier for me to read.

Hi Meagan....I got this one from a little hardware shop, that also sells kitchen stuff. Have seen them around in kitchenware stores, or probably cheaper online.
It sits on the window sill perfectly, and holds most fat cookbooks and keeps the page open where you want it ;)

You can buy the recipe book at Howards Storage $15.95 or some kitchen or home places.

The very first time I saw a thermomix the person had a sticky, gooey, splattered EDC. I remember thinking gee none of my cookbooks are that bad. I think my EDC is worse now! She loves her thermomix too.
-
Mine isn't too bad as it sits on the bench away from the food when I'm cooking, but I've scribbled notes in it.

mine is sooooo bad and falling apart that I have started to transfer some of the recipes with my notes onto LCB :o :o
