Title: new to thermomix
Post by: Vonnie on December 13, 2010, 10:53:36 am
Hi everyone,
Had my thermomix for over a week now, my question is i was told i would loose weight :-) is that right?
We have done nothing but eat and try recipes, dont think we were gonna loose weight hehehe
so far i've made bread, custard, apricot chicken rissoto, chille con carn,  rice, mashed potato,
tuna pasta, hungarian beef, Beef stroganof,
banana bread, beetroot salad, etc etc the list keeps growing, oh raw chocolate too
I have not had a failure yet, this machine is the best.

Welcome Vonnie. I'm not sure about the losing weight, it is certainly guaranteed to put on weight.

he he vonnie, there could be a remote chance of losing weight if you don't enjoy eating what you've made - a big warm welcome anyhow

Well, I've had mine about a month - 6 weeks and I'm piling it on!

Its too late to tackle things now until after the New Year, but then Thelma is going to have to cut down on her fat output!

 ;D

I think it depends on your interest in food, and your habits pre Thermomix. If you ate predominately preprepared foods then I think you would lose weight.it is also about portion control too though  :P welcome  :)

Hi Vonnie, welcome to the forum.  Yes, it is a bit of a problem as we tend to want to try everything we see posted but the secret is to have plenty of people to share with - must warn you though that neighbours have been know to not answer the door when they see you coming with a plate in your hand according to one of our members.  You have been going great guns with your cooking, well done.

Thanks everyone, you make me feel so welcome,
I must admit that before i got the thermomix my diet was alot more healthy but im sure once the novelty wears off a bit
we can get back to normal eating, I have made the custard with my normal hi=low milk and it turns out just the same
Just made the pear fruit mince ready for the mince pies tomorrow, wow that was so easy and yummy
Just have to take the dog for more walks i think to compensate for being naughty hahahaha
