We've had a spontaneous decision for the girls and I to go to Australia and chill out with mum and dad while I recover from an operation. So goodbye snow, and sun here we come !
-
CarolineW, you are most welcome. We have been watching the snow in England on the Telly. Where do mum and dad live?
-
CarolineW that is wonderful. You will thaw out and feel much better.
-
Have a safe journey Caroline.I'm sure you won't miss all this dreadful weather we're having here at the moment.Fingers crossed that the airports stay open, are you flying from LHR or LGW?
-
yah were are you coming to? And hope your flights out are ok as seems like another 'flurry' is on it's way.
-
Who is going to be the lucky person who lives near your parents :D Are you having the op in England then flying over, before or after Christmas - oh so many questions, you might be sorry you told us Carolyn. :-* :-*
-
Bon voyages Caroline you lucky thing! Hope you manage to fly out OK as it looks a bit dire down south at the moment....
Have a wonderful Christmas over there and take it easy if you're recovering from an op.
:-* :-*

I know how excited you must be, Caroline - with a daughter having the first Christmas in Oz after 3 in the UK, our household is sharing a similar joy to both you and your parents. Although after the heat plus the humidity that we have had over the past few days, the thought of snow and some chill is enticing. Cheers - Robyn (from a very hot Rockhampton) :) :)

We're flying out of LHR, so fingers crossed! Although we have heavy snowfall again today it's looking as though it will be pretty clear when we fly, according to the long range forecast. I check it every morning and night!
My parents are in NSW, the Lake MacQuarry area. And I had the operation just over a week ago.
Did I answer all the questions? ;) :D
Thanks for all your good wishes.
-
Yes thanks Caroline. Speedy recovery from the op and good luck with trying to get out of the UK. Same applies for your daughter too Johnro - how disappointing it will be if that snow keeps up and no-one can fly anywhere for Christmas.
-
You sound a bit like me Caroline - we're off to France by Eurostar on Wednesday and I spend most of my time online checking weather forecasts and travel reports.
I do hope you manage to get away easily - Heathrow sounds a bit of a nightmare at the moment. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
-
Thanks ;D For you too.
-
ha! if you come to the south east you will find snow and very little sun sorry!
-
Keep coming west!! lol though yesterday was wet and cool, and today is cool, we are looking at 38 for Christmas day :)
-
Typical Aussie Christmas day............worse luck.
