Title: Timing
Post by: Flipper on December 27, 2010, 11:00:37 pm
Hi Everyone

Just a quick question.  When a recipe says "cook for 3 mins at 100 degrees on speed 2"  does that mean the three minutes starts once the temp reaches 100 degrees or does the three minutes start from cold speed meaning you are probably only cooking at 100 degrees for 2 minutes?

Just wanted to make sure I was following recipes correctly.

Thanks in advance!!

Yes, you've read it right Flipper - just follow the directions which take in the allowance for the TMX to get up to temperature.  If it is onion you are sauteeing, I usually add a bit more though.

Thanks for the replies everyone.  I thought the recipes must have allowed for the heating, but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks for those post links, I will have a read.

Thanks again.
