Title: seeds in berry sorbet
Post by: Meegles on January 02, 2011, 07:36:35 am
I have just made berry sorbet and while the taste is fab, I don't really like the seeds... Now can someone please tell me, am I being too fussy or should I have pureed it more till the seeds were gone??? Currently I have it going through a strainer, I know my kids won't eat it... Then I will have to refreeze it a bit...

I think if you use a berry mix you will always get the seeds to a certain extent. I am not too fussed by it but my kids don't like the 'bits' either

I don't tend to notice it with strawberries but raspberries are a killer!

Blackberries are definitely no no.,  So mixed berries are out as they have blackberries in the mix.

I keep meaning to make a puree, and strain it, then make the sorbet.

That's what I do as I use the mixed berries and I hate the seeds from the raspberries.
