hi everyone, i found a quote last night at a hens night, on a bacci wrapper, i thought this would make a great quote for my profile, but i cant remember my password to get into my profile as i have not needed it since i joined the forum. how do i retrieve it or is there another way off adding a quote?
whilst on the sublect of the hens night, i have to say i made mango sorbet for some champagne cocktails, was delicious, and some playdoh for a little game of 'build the groom' . we also had a peg game where certain words were banned for the night, ours being the grooms name, kids and dogs, as that tok us all into account, but they decided that thermomix should have been banned too!!!!!
thankyou in anticipation, nicky :)

I would just send a pm to MM Nicky - don't know if he is on holidays but that's all I can think of. I wrote mine in a book where I keep all my passwords because I knew I would forget it and others if I didn't. Just checked his last posting and he was on early this morning so he is around the place.

I'm 'pretty sure' you don't need a password if you are logged on. Just go into your profile and have a little click around the place and it will come up somewhere where you can add a quote. (Sorry I can't be more specific than that, but I am at work)

thanks jd & cp63, will give them a try :-\

to throw a spanner in the works, I think to change your profile you do need your password lol. I am off to check it out as I stil remember mine :D
-
Nope I tell a lie, while you are logged in you are fine to change your profile 8)
-
I can't remember mine, it could be a number of things.
-
I try and stick with a couple and then I change all of them. I change each particular one to the same one so all the ones that were xyz then become 123 and so on. Keep a record for a while of what I have changed them to lol or I would be in all sorts of trouble :-))
-
well, i tried to change it and thought i was successful but when i displayed to last post it was not there! :(
i couldnt see anything in the profile to say quote, but will keep trying. ;)

yes i did it!!!! thanks girls! :)
think it may not have worked last time because i put a profile pic up too, but dont think computer liked that, so didnt bother to add the quote either. (nothing to do with the operator!!!!!) ;D

now go back and add your profile pic lol - well done!

I have an address book which I use for all my log in names and passwords as well as some tricky URL's which I may not remember when I'm in a hotel or whatever. I take it with me when I go away. It's proved invaluable, as long as I remember to update it!

I've done much the same as you, Meganjane, but as a small business owner I decided to go a little further - not only did I do a list of all these details for myself, but I created one for our business as well and enlarged it to include customer numbers, contact phone / email / web addresses, account numbers, card numbers (for Visa, Mastercard, etc), I also included drivers licenses, passports, Medicare card details ... anything and everything I could think of and I ended up with 5 A4 pages of contact details. It can be a bit tedious keeping it up to date, but I have found it invaluable.
Come to think of it, there is probably a program somewhere 'out there' that you can utilise for this, I hadn't thought of that before now - the usual problem is that if your computer is down and your computer details are on it you are in deep trouble!! I am very much a hard copy person so anything would have to be printed off.

:) i use a program callerd last pass.
keeps all my log ins, passwords for all sites.
its great.
