im not really sure if this is the correct place to post this
i am so so so so happy, what normally takes me hrs of cutting and choppung and grating, took all of 10 mins!! i make my own wet dog food. all the yuki bits of meat at the shops, all the organs. a few different kinds of veggies and either rice or oats. i usually stand at the kitchen bench most of the night cutting it all up. not only was the thermo super super quick i didnt have to toch it as much...
thank you thermo ;D ;D

There's a thread about the BARF Diet in the Special Diets section.
Glad you're getting the best out of your Thermomix!

I make my own dog food too. I don't use rice though as it adds little to a dogs diet. I do use oats plus an egg or two and some cheese, maybe some garlic and lots of veggies as well as all the meat and or fish/chicken bits. If I get a cheap whole chicken I cook it for the dog and use the stock for me. So much cheaper and better I feel than commercial dog food. Plus I love doing it.

sadly our Jordie and Sadie are no longer with us, due old age, but I used to make their food and biscuits. Their main food was 1kg of roo (kangaroo or meat of your choice) minced into a big pot, just cover with water and bring to the boil. Once at the boil add a 1 kg bag of mixed veg, I used to save all my veg peelings and off cuts from the end of the carrots etc. (try not to use too many potato or onion peelings) putting them into a bag in the freezer. If I didn't have enough I'd buy a 1 kg bag of mixed veg home brand quality Add a clove or two of Garlic, When this came to the boil, I would add a lge bag of macaroni/rice , 500gms turn off the cooker put a lid on the pot and let the macaroni/rice absorb the cooking juice. Store in large ice cream cont in freezer and defrost as needed.
