Hi All
I know there have been many recipes posted regarding tomato sauce but I am a little confused on what people c;ass as tomato sauce and what recipe I am best to use for what I need the sauce for!!
My children love tomato sauce in their sandwiches with Ham and on their BBQ sausages! I want to replace the sugary store bought sauce for a home made sauce that will last in the fridge for a month or more.
Which of the tomato sauce recipes in the EDC or on this forum am I best to use?? I am a bit overwhelmed!

I use the tomoto ketchup recipe in place of 'tomato suace'. The others are great but are more for pastas etc.

Thanks Thermie Crew, I will give that one a go. I might leave the chilli out so its not too spicy for the kids.

I have made the tomato ketchup from MWOC, and it is really easy and tasty - I highly recommend that one! Just be careful you dont put in too many tomatoes - the recipe just as it is fills the TMX early on, until it reduces down a bit. The first time I did this recipe, I threw in a few extra tomatoes and it boiled over :-[

Thanks JudyDawn, I have the MWOC one in the Thermomix (Ewok) now.
I have so many tomatoes at the moment I will give this other one you have suggested a go and compare.

I'm not into spicy stuff so I de-seeded the chillli (a small dried one) for the EDC version and it was fine. I don't have MWOC but sounds worth getting now. A comparison sounds great ;D
