Hello everyone,
I've had my TMX for I few days and I'm really enjoying what I've made so far.
Before making my decision about purchasing the TMX I read lots of valuable information and recipes in this forum. I hope that in the future I'll be able to contribute with either recipes or ideas.
I have one question about travelling with the TMX. I have the TMX carry bag, but it did not come with instructions. I am planning to take it with me in the car. Do you remove the blades?.

Welcome, Txiki. Be warned - your life is about to change ... for the better. The TMX and the forum are addictive.
Sorry I can't answer your question re. removing the blades, I shouldn't think you would need to if there is nothing else inside the jug whilst you are in transit. I would think that if you were concerned you could simply wrap a kitchen sponge, tea towel, cloth, etc. around them to protect them. However, I'm sure there are many others on the forum who travel with their TMX and who can answer the question for you.

Thank you Cuilidh for your welcome and your reply. I know about the addictive properties of both: forum and TMX, but as long as I don't gain weight....no problem.
I inspected the travel bag and found two smaller pockets. One seems to be for the spatula and the other i assume is for the butterfly because the blade could not fit in it. Given the fact that there seems to be no pocket for the blade, my conclusion is that the blade remains in its place. I hope I'm right, but if I'm not, that someone in the forum will let me know.

Hi Txiki, welcome to the forum. Looking forward to seeing any contributions you can make on the forum.

You just put the thermomix into the bag so the feet fit in the cut out bits in the base - the base is in the outside varoma zip up pocket. you put the basket and measuring cup in the tm bowl and leave the blade in - the blade doesn't move around or anything. You are right about the pockets which fit the butterfly and spatula, and as I said before, the outside pocket is for the varoma. If you want to take your tm on a flight, remove the blade and put it in with your hold luggage and you can carry your tm on board with you. it holds everything you need.

You beat me thermoheaven. I actually lock my lid into position when I use the carry bag. I'm not sure if that is correct or not.

Thank you judydawn, thermoheaven and cookie1. Every thing seems clear now. I just hope the machine will withstand the occasional bumpy car ride.
Regards to you all

Mine has done hundreds of kilometres in both the van and the car. I feel happy because it's in the correct bag and I feel it's secure.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Txiki. My TMX has also done a many kilometres in the car secure in it's carry bag and has not had any problems.

Welcome to the forum. I don't have the bag, but think best to have blades securely in the bowl and lid fastened as cookie1 says.
