Was in the middle of making dinner and all of a sudden tmx decides it wants to gyrate all over the place. On speed 4???? I've made this dish before without drama so not sure why it's doing it? I gave the base a clean in case it was giving grief but it's still going everywhere. Standing here so it doesn't go over the edge and trying not to burn my hand holding top to stabilize it is not fun :(

lol I think my tmx hates Quirky Jo recipes lmao!!!
I tried making her "fried" rice the other day and 30 mins extra later the egg still wasn't properly cooked (runny on outer, rubbery in centre) lol and now pasta.
Says, stuff this! It is too healthy! Gimme more cakes and brownies! LOL
Hopefully it's okay now... I just did a clean cycle on speed 4 and it was fine. Maybe one of the veges caught on the bottom? I did stir with spatula but hard to be sure when it's full!
That's what I meant about cleaning the base... I meant its feet hehehe

I have friends who bought their TM31s last year. One lives on a boat in a marina and the other lives in a huge motorhome.
Both had problems with the TM shifting while the boat or vehicle were in motion.
One solved the problem and I passed on the info to the other and it works beautifully.
They bought rubber kitchen mats - a small one and cut one end off so it would fit on the counter and so the beveled edges would be at the front.
They marked the position of the feet on the mat and cut holes in the mat to fit the feet and the mat stays in place and keeps the TM where it belongs.
I just phoned the friend who lives on her boat and her mat is 3/8 inch thick and is dark red - matches the finish on the cabinets, and is non-slip. The original size was 18 inches x 30 inches. She says it sticks out about 3 inches on each side of the TM.

Mine bumps around a lot with bechamel sauce and that is at speed 4. I have to watch it for the first minute or two until the butter has melted. :)

I have had that vibrating happen when a piece of beetroot or carrot piece gets jammed in the blade. It has only happened maybe 3 times. I just stopped the TM and used the spatula to stir the ingredients and then set it again.

Always a good idea to stop it & check blades are not attached to anything if it does something out of the ordinary. One customer managed to "strip" her blades - so they had to be replaced - when a piece of beetroot attached itself to a blade & then dragged the blades. I wouldn't have thought it possible if I hadn't seen it!

Scarey. I usually stay near my machine when it first starts mixing in case of nasy happenings like that. When it is going smoothly I can leave it. Except for kneading of course.

Funnily enough, mine started to do this the other day as well (whilst my back was turned much to my to my dismay when I turned around!!!!!), I was making a dish and was at the stage where I had to puree the vegetables when it started moving on me. It turned that an air pocket had formed around the blades and as soon as I pushed the spatula through that and added a bit of water it was fine again.

Sounds good :) We're not on a boat or anything though... probably me. lol
It's just to keep the machine from "walking" off the counter. I set mine on a tray with a not-slip bottom. This has the advantage of the tray catching anything that might spill and any drips from the MC or the spatula are much easier to clean from the tray than from the counter.
