Title: Child Safe Recipes
Post by: Deeau on April 13, 2011, 05:13:37 am
I am looking for a few Thermomix recipes that my boys can make on their own, they are 16 and 14 and totally inept ( along with their father ) in the kitchen. They have sucessfully made TM Macaroni cheese by themselves and I was looking for other similar kid friendly meals they can make when I am not there. I am looking for kid taste friendly- something they may see as a treat cause mum is not there harping on about good food choices, easy, safe recipes that may encourage them to start cooking.

I know by now they "should" be able to cook for themselves ( according to them they can cause they can turn on the oven and put pies in...doesn't fall into my "good food choices" ) but I  love cooking and like to spoil them rotten and the only time they will really get to cook something is while I am at work ....though it would be lovely to occassionally  go out for dinner without them and let them cook thereselves....even though I already know the mess I will have to clean up when I get in will probably not be worth the meal out!  :o

Just leave them with the EDC - the recipes are so very simple my 12 & 9 year old follow them with ease. Infact one day while I was out with my EDC my 12 year old got on here and looked up a recipe for himself. When they get hungry there's no telling what they can figure out for themselves.  :D
I recommend a soup recipe - it's getting cool here now.  ;)
