I've just made these fundj, just waiting for them to cool down before I try one. Such a quick easy recipe, I only did half quantity in a 20cm square tin.
Very moorish, just ate 3 and have had to put them away before they disappear.

Are these really really hard? I tasted one years ago at the schools breakfast club and it was so hard you could use it to hammer a nail in.

not hard at all :( i like them hard i will try and bake them next time and less sugar way too sweet. thumbs down from DS.

Mine look completely different to yours fundj - much darker. I baked mine for 5 mins with the honey glaze whilst it was still in the tin but had been cut through into pieces. I think I would leave the glaze off until after baking next time as you did as they are a little sticky but certainly not crisp at all, quite chewy in fact.

Pastéli (Greek Sesame Snaps)
from Culinaria Greece: Greek Specialties
4 cups/500g sesame seeds ( toasted )
8 level tablespoons/250g honey
1 generous cup/250g sugar
Easy enough to convert, I think.
Heat the honey and sugar in a saucepan over a medium heat until the mixture caramelizes. Using a sugar thermometer, make sure the temperature of the mixture does not exceed 470 F (250 C). Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the toasted sesame seeds.
Grease a marble slab (or any other cool, smooth surface) with sunflower oil and tip the mixture onto it. Roll out thinly using a greased rolling pin. Cut small bars from the mixture and place on a wire tray to cool.

They do look tasty. Just imagine what the floor would be like if you spilled a cup od sesame seeds. :'(
