Title: love my new thermo
Post by: tygra on May 13, 2011, 12:41:03 am
Hello everyone, just thought I would introduce myself, my name is Jodie and I have been watching this site for the last month since I purchased my thermomix. (love what everyone has got to say and the reciepes that are shared) I gotta say how much this machine has change my life, I have not bought a loaf of bread or a tub of icecream since I recieved the thermo and I reckon I save at least $30 a week making things from scratch. My bread has not turned out to well until I tried Isa portugese loaf and I finally felt satisfied.
The thermo has bought back my spark to cook and its so wonderful to be able to take control of what we actually put in out mouths.
I wish everyone would buy one and  have this experience in thier kitchens.

Hello and welcome to the forum Jodie.  Ah, Isi's recipe - it's what got me started on my bread making journey too.  Now one of my favourite for rolls is Chookies recipe (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4253.0) and maddy's (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3114.0) is a winner too. I was spending $6 a week on ice-cream but no longer buy that either - not that happy that home made ice-cream sets too hard but have learnt to live with it. This mango kulfi  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5689.0) is probably my favourite as it only takes a short time to soften, especially with the way I wrap it. Glad you are enjoying your cooking again and hope you will  join in the fun we have on this forum.

Hi and welcome Jodi.
Isn't it wonderful the way the TMX gets you into cooking? Then if you're feeling down about it all you have to do is look on this site and some of the recipes and photos for inspiration.
