Title: Mumma of teenager, toddler and twins (triple T!)
Post by: Amsiedoll on June 20, 2011, 06:51:16 am
Yep I am a mumma to 41/2 month old twins, 22 month old toddler and a 13 year old! :o Just stopped in to say hi and I look forward to chatting with you all on the various boards. I absolutely love 'Beryl' and my husband is coming around to accepting her to! Now that he has tasted the wonderful, homemade goodies that me and Beryl can whizz up, made from raw ingredients as much as possible, he thinks she's OKAY! I love how Beryl is assisting my family to reduce their carbon footprint on this world. Go TM!  ;D

Wow you have your hands full. I bet TM is making life easier for you in your very limited time you would have with 2 little babies and a toddler. I have 5 kids aged between 4 and 15 and I know how hard it was with one baby and toddlers let alone 2 babies and a toddler. Glad you could find some time to join the Forum.

Hi Amsiedoll, welcome to the forum.  Guess you are going to have limited time to spend on here but if there is anything you ever need to know, this is the place to ask.  I always fancied having twins but they must run you off your feet, especially with having a toddler in the house too.  Good luck to you with your little ones and yes, the TMX is going to be a great help to you.

Thanks for your Welcome. 'Beryl' has helped me continue to do what I love (cook) and still have time for my family. DH was blown away the other day when I had created five different items during 'sleep time'. I recently bought the Indian Cookbook as DH loves currys. I made the Vege Indian Curry (from My Way of Cooking) during sleeptime today. Then I whipped up the Naan Bread to accompany the curry. I was very happy with the results. DS has made one meal so far in 'Beryl'. I have allocated Friday night as his cooking night and I think we shall see 'Beryl' getting a work-out. Now if I could only master yogurt!!!!

Voting for WA - Sandgroppers are sure getting a good percentage.

Hi Amsiedoll, nice to see another West Aussie on here  :)
Have you read this (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2302.0) thread for yoghurt?  I found it very useful.

Hi bigTcup. Yes I have been using Valeries recipe. First time, a little success but still too runny for my liking. Second time, even worse with runniness, third time using sterelised equipment, then placing the thermoserver into a warmed oven and the oven being booted up every hour to maintain temp, plus leaving it overnight, was slightly more successful but still too runny. I like my spoon to stand up in my yogurt. Am I being realistic? Does anyone's first yogurt have that kind of thickness? I am very close to throwing the towel in on this one!  :(

Cookie 1, I am country WA - Esperance. 13 years ago I was NOR.

I can stand a spoon up in my yoghurt. I have great success with my yoghurt and make about 6kg a week  :D

I am now using a start from www.cheeselinks.com.au (the thick one) as my kids kept eating all the yoghurt without saving me a starter.

You shouldn't need to keep warming your oven. In the summer I don't even heat my Thermoserver and just leave it on the bench overnight in an air conditioned house. In the winter, I through some boiling water in the Thermoserver for couple of min to heat it through, add the yoghurt and then put it in either my microwave or oven overnight. The oven I have left the light on to help warm it a little on the very cold nights we RARELY get here in Perth.

Hope this might help you  ;)
