Title: More cook books
Post by: hopefulcook on July 05, 2011, 02:32:36 pm
Following on from Brazen's post I thought I would put the question out there... what other TM cook books would we want? Personally I would like to see every TMX sold with a folder with sections so you can add more recipes later (of your own, or purchased from consultant).
But if they are developing more books, I would like to buy:
- Thai
- Middle Eastern
- A more comprehensive kids/babies/lunch box - and maybe a "kids can cook" booklet?
- Breads
- Baking / desserts
- Entertaining (as someone suggested on the other thread, dinner party for 10 or nibbles for 30 etc...)
- A version of the WW style book with 'midweek meals' aka anything quick and easy

Definitely one for entertaining whether it be a full on dinner party or a casual finger food affair.  Having them all in the one book would be great.

I would love a tapas book and general finger food, dips and nibbles for light entertaining

I'm in with petit too. But then most cakes, biscuits and slices are easily transformed into TMX recipes. I love all the breads too, but then they can be altered easily too. I guess I'm up for anything.

I really don't need anymore TMX recipe books but if they print them, I'll buy them - just can't help myself  :-)) :-))  Just hope they are triple tested and don't need tweaking though ;)

I received the UK Fast & Easy Book this week (their equivalent to our EDC) and in my opinion, it runs rings around our book as far as recipes go.

I look forward to reading your reviews JD.  I have the book but haven't used it much yet.  :)

Things seem to get back to them hopefulcook so someone is obviously keeping an eye on us  ;) ;)

If it's TMX and it's a recipe book I'm gonna buy it. Can't seem to help myself with cookbooks. Have cut down a lot since getting the TMX but don't see any reason to limit myself when it comes to TMX ones. I going to use it anyway.........aren't I?

I suspect they keep a very good eye on us. They would need to make sure that copyright isn't breached with the recipes from their books and booklets.  They are very good really not to comment on all of our "I will send you a PM  ;)" messages.

Hi JD how did you get the UK book? I would be very interested, my DH is Scottish and even though our tastes are very similar I'd love to have some UK inspired dinners up my sleeve...

I had it sent over by a UK friend hopefulcook but you can contact UK Thermomix and arrange something with them.  I can't recall where you live but you are welcome to check mine out any time if you like.  Here  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3088.0) is an earlier thread which will show you the index of the recipes.

LOL they love their puddings (desserts). Looks good JD and as the in-laws are coming in September I might get shipped to them in Scotland, then they can bring it with them.
I am in Blackwood JD. School holidays start next week but after that I would definitely be up for an Adelaide 'catch up' if you are interested???

Perhaps we will have to organise a general get together, meeting in town somewhere hopefulcook. I'm sure there are other people who would like to join us.  Great idea to have your in-laws bring the book with them, the postage is rather expensive from the UK to here.

I couldn't agree more. I bought that and their demonstrator delights cookbook and they are much better than all the other books we can get.

I love any TMX book hopefulcook, if I only get one really good recipe from each book I am happy.  Of course I expect more but I find the recipes on the forum are hard to beat. Ours is the best recipe book you will find anywhere for the TMX.  The only book I haven't done anything out of is the seafood book - probably because fish is so expensive compared to chicken, pork and beef. Meat on the Menu and the new Taste of Asia are worth having - there are some good reviews of dishes from those books on the forum.

Chelsea I must agree with you re the copyright issue. I'm sure if HO become to concerned they'll let us know or a consultant who is on here.
I'm enjoying Travelling with Thermomix, but haven't really made much from MOM or the Asia book.

I agree 100% Judy. I think the Forum is the best cookbook around and its constantly being updated and tested. ForumThermomix is my Bible of cookbooks.
