Title: Hello from Happy Valley
Post by: shiverama on July 09, 2011, 06:15:56 am
Hi
my family and i have had our wonderful thermomix for a while and we all love it. I recently returned to work fulltime and was a bit stressed at the thought of having to compromise on food and cooking. Attended a TM demo and was hooked.
My husband initially a bit of a sceptic now loves it and my two boys 13 and 11 are now seasoned experts on juices, soothies biscuits and cakes

Siobhan

Hi Siobhan, welcome to the forum from a fellow South Australian.   Glad to hear DH has learnt to love the TMX and that the boys are helping out with the cooking as well.  The perfect appliance to have in your kitchen for a busy working Mum.

Hi and Welcome Siobhan,
I bet you are glad you have the TM now you have returned back to work. With very little ahead planning a main meal can be whipped together in no time.

Another Adelaidean, consultants must be busy!!! My kids do swimming in Happy Valley... We are just down the road in Blackwood. I love this forum, so many clever people and so generous with their ideas and time.

Welcome Siobhan!  Sounds like your boys are like mine:  at this age they probably enjoy the "cook by number" aspect of the TMX  :D

Siobhan, have you seen the thread in the chat section regarding an Adelaide get together?

I know what you mean Siobhan. I work full time and preparing dinner was always a challenge. Since buying the TMX it never seems to be a problem now. I usually spend a little time menu planning before shopping and we now eat better than we ever did before, minus the stress and hassle. When I initially received the TMX I asked my two teenage children to help prepare the dinner and now both of them can use it to cook meals as well. As the recipes on this forum are tried and tested, like Carine says - it really like "cooking by numbers" for them. Welcome and enjoy.
