Very east to make. I used dried yeast as i had no fresh yeast, same quantity.
Cooked for 23 mins in my miele oven, ( oven cooks quickly).
I made 1 large loaf and 1 small one from the quantity.
Nice bread, never had milk bread before, would be lovely with soup. Yes i would make again.

Thanks JD
not bad considering i nearly gave up on bread
How silly was I ;D ;D

Hally, just re-read your thread. Did you really use the same quantity of dried yeast as that specified for fresh yeast? You should have used half of that quantity, 10g dried = 20g fresh.

Yes I did, knew it was meant to be less, but didnt know hw much less, so was tipping it in and it ended up at 20 g, worked well for me :)

I tried this recipe yesterday when I had run out of bread.
I too didn't have fresh yeast so used one sachet dried yeast.
It is a very easy bread to make and turns out well. It tastes slightly sweet too which is fine if you like it however, I prefer a plainer flavour.
I will try and post a photo soon.

Looks great Tasty.

that looks great Tasty - I need to try and shape my bread more often instead of slapping it in a tin ... I am sure the kids would appreciate it :-))

This looks really nice, I must make it. Nice looking loaf Tasty :)

It looks lovely Tasty. Unless I want a sweet bread I reduce the sugar in my breads to about a pinch as we don't like bread sweet at all. I'll give this a try.
