How about this recipe from Judy.

Send it to me Hally - I love it. Blanch it and freeze it if you don't know what to do with it just now otherwise it will wilt and you'll throw it out.
Try my Rice & spinach pie (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1033.0) - leftovers freeze well too.
Spinach, chickpea & feta tart (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3461.0).
Spinach & ricotta cannelloni (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3731.0).
Plenty of things to do with a bunch of spinach. I had the one CC posted on this list too but she got in first :D
-
PERFCT CC, I have all the ingredients too. Yay
Thanks to JD to for the recipe.
Hally :)
-
Well you got in while i was replying.lol
Thanks, will look at them all, and let you know, as long as it doesnt attack me while trying to use it!!
Hally :)

You could try Caroline W's Sakuma Wiki (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1208.msg8090#msg8090) - I have made this quite often and like it. It is possible to add left over meat, or anything else for that matter, to it to suit your taste.
-
I often make spinach and ricotta crepes or pasta shells, kids love eating shells. ;D

Hally, I have several spinach/silver beet recipes on my blog listed here -
http://www.lambsearsandhoney.com/tag/spinach/
We used to get a bunch every week in our produce box and it became challenging to present it to the kids differently every week, so I hunted down some recipes.
-
I love spinach & ricotta caneloni and have about 2kgs in the freezer.
Thanks everyone
Love baby spinach but this siverbeet just beats me. Ha ha beats me, that is funny lol. Gosh its 6am, been up since 4.30!!
Looking at the slice and Amandas dip, the dip is great as it uses natural yoghurt and i have a heap of tar
Thank you Amanda and everyone else.
Now what could i serve the dip with within a meal??
BTW ths isnt helping running down my freezer, but you cant have verything.lol

Another thought is silverbeet (or spinach) gnocci - if you are interested I believe I have a non TMX recipe secreted away somewhere in my dusty bookshelf.
-
There is a spinach addition suggested in the recipe in A Taste of Vegetarian as under
Re: Ricotta Gnocchi - vegetarian book (pg:87)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricotta Gnocchi from 'A taste of Vegetarian'
80g parmesan, cubed
400g ricotta, drained
200g bakers flour or plain flour
salt to taste
nutmeg to taste
Place parmesan into bowl and grate for 10 seconds on speed 9. Add ricotta and flour to the bowl and set dial to closed lid and knead for 1 minute on interval speed.
Remove dough from the bowl. Roll portions into small sausage shapes and then cut into gnocchi pieces-about 1.5cm in length. Score the gnocchi by rolling pieces over the back of a fork.
Cook gnocchi in a pot of salted boiling water. Once water has boiled add gnocchi. When they rise to the top they are cooked, approx 5 minutes.
While cooking gnocchi use the TMX to create a sauce.
TIP You can increase the quantity if desired by using 600g ricotta and 300g flour. Gnocchi can be made and then frozen. To make a spinach and ricotta gnocchi, cut spinach first and remove from bowl and add back during kneading.
I found this information here http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3112.15

I would Hally as tomato & spinach go well together but if you read all the threads on the above link, you will see where farfallina's Zucchini sauce has also been used.
-
Dare I ... a non TMX recipe... :): when we have plenty of silverbet, I blanch it, add it to a mix of ricotta, feta, parsley and any other herb + seasoning, and stick this filling between 2 sheets of puff pastry: nice with a salad.
-
Hally, cook silver beet in a little water and when nearly cooked add a lump of butter and a good grind of nutmeg.
-
Silverbeet doesnt look so evil chopped up.
H ;D
-
Poor silverbeet :'( :'( :'( :'( Here I am talking nicely to mine so it will hurry up and grow :-))
-
Oh Faffa you dont understand, those big green scary leaves, they look like they could engulf you up, then those bright white veins like from a horror movie and the overly large white stalks are just so so... Repulsive......mmmm..
So grosss - but chopped they dont look so evil!
Hally
-
... you REALLY don't like silverbeet, do you Hally??? It's great stuff, you just have to find the right recipes.
-
I just love it steamed in the varoma ;D mmmmmm

l make pinwheels
you need sheets of puff pastry
spaghetti bog sauce
grated parsem cheese
silver beet chopped up really small
put all these on top of puff pastry roll up and cut in to 3cm lengths
put on a baking tray lined with baking paper
brush with milk sprinkle on more cheese
sprinkle with sesame seeds
bake 20mins in 180 oven or until brown and crispy looking
yummy both my boys love this but hate eating the sauce on pasta so that why l disguise it
-
Like the sound of that one nazar, thanks for that.
-
Yay my spinach came baby spinach.
Nazar like your wheels, the onky roblem ds wont eat silverbeet (but i xant blame him there) or spinach.
Hally :)
-
We have lots of silverbeets in the garden, too. I tried Potato and Silverbeet Soup
600 g chicken stock
400 g potatoes, peeled and chopped
250 g silverbeet chopped
50 g grated parmesan cheese
Bring stock to boil, with chopped up potatoes and silverbeet for about 10-15 minutes, then blitz it and serve with parmesan cheese.
Sometimes, I also try it with just water and salt, when I don't want chicken stock on it. Sometimes, instead of silverbeet, I use lettuce or celery.
-
Nazar, sounds great.
I make Creamed Spinach from QFITMX and put blobs in the lasagne layers. Wouldn't even know it was there.
-
Throw some in a tikka marsala. The tikka paste from the Indian book is really good to have on hand. I have frozen paneer from an indian supermarket in the freezer, and it is great to throw in with chicken, or even just paneer and spinich/silverbeet as a vegetarian option. Handy, quick and tasty!

Dear Halex,
Here's another to add to your silverbeet collection:
