Hi Everyone!! I've had my thermomix for 7 days and have used it every day!! I love it so much. I'm amazed at what it can do. Must admit I'm a little heavy handed on the time! Have over blitzed a few things, mainly salads but they are still tasty. I seem to forget just how powerful the machine really is. Today we made tomato relish and the concentrated veggie stock and strawberry jam. The jam sprayed everywhere and made a hell of a mess but it was good fun. Any tips on the jam making would be appreciated. We put a Plate on the mc to try and stop it but then the sticky condensation dripped all over the bench. Just need a little practice. :) mainly bought the amazing little machine so we can eat healthier meals, and loose some weight. getting married next year so into "nesting mode" :) looking forward to chatting to you all and learning lots of new things from each of your recipes.

If you put the internal basket on top of the lid without the MC while cooking things like jam and sauces that spit it stops the mess and still allows the steam to escape.
It also allows the beautiful smells to fill the kitchen!
Jam is great to make in the Thermomix.
ENJOY!
Ps. I am also from Adelaide!

Hi Lisa, welcome to the forum - 3 of us in a row from Adelaide.
This (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1551.0) thread might be the one you need to read regarding making jam.
Have fun with your machine and chop under the stated times to start with, check then chop some more if necessary. It can go from coleslaw to mush in the blink of an eye. ;)

Welcome Lisa. After 3 years I still manage to make the occasional mush.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I have a quick question? Is there any way I can see all recipes posted by a particular person??
-
Yes Lisa, just click on 'Started By' at the top of a particular thread (mains, soups, desserts etc) and the names will come up alphabetically - then you just scroll through until you get to the name you want (a bit time consuming but all the recipes for that person will be lumped together).

Beauty!! Thanks Judy :)
