Hi,
I'm new. I don't have a thermomix but with 4 kids I know I need one. I'll be trying to get a demo in the new year so I can start on all the awesome cooking this machine is supposed to do. Until then I just wanted to ask questions and view the type of foods I can make so that when it is finally here, my life will be a lot more organised and my kitchen will be cleaner :D
My kids are 3 months, 2 years, 8 years and 9 years. And the older two have very different pallets so it is always a challenge to please everyone.
Can't wait to learn more.

Hi Mama Koala. Welcome to the forum. I am also a newbie.
I have a Thermo Chef and have used it every day since I got it 4 weeks ago.
I can't believe how good it is and my DH, who was rather sceptical agrees that it is pretty useful.
Our 8YO grandson lives with us. He has Asperger's syndrome and is one of the fussiest eaters I have ever known.
Things like bread has to be square and white, and he eats mainly green things as green is his favourite colour.
(I am glad he doesn't only want pink or purple) LOL
I am managing to make things that he likes even. Especially the chocolate icecream.

Mama koala, you are going to have a greet time with this great machine. Spend some time understanding the function of the reverse button , and have a look at uTube , especially Janie from the UK.

Hi Mamakoala, I'm awaiting the arrival of my Thermomix, it took me a year to make the decision to buy one.
I went to a couple of back to basics cooking demos and watched Youtube clips.
Good luck with it all.

Hi MK, my hubby was sold on the less dishes it uses. It is always hard to keep a kitchen tidy with kids around. Hope you can get one soon.

Welcome and good luck mama koala. Am sure you'll love your thermomix. Great to get your head around some recipes first. I'm sort of doing the same as I won't get my thermie (TC ) till Xmas.
I'm really looking forward to an extra set of hands, and new inspiration.
Have fun searching, and am sure the experienced gals/guys here will happily answer any questions you have. :-)

Hello MK and welcome. I agree with the others. Look through the recipes on the forum and go onto YouTube, type in 'Thermomix' and watch any videos you can. It doesn't matter if some of the videos aren't in English as you can watch and get the gist anyway. Also if you go here http://www.stephberg.com/?page_id=2086 you will see how you can get your 8 and 9 year olds involved too :)

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome. My TM31 will be here in 2 weeks!! So excited. Now I need recipes to match what I have in my cupboard. I especially can't wait to mill my own grain :D The kids loved the sorbet at the demo and the risotto was pretty yum too.

Welcome Mamakoala. I had to wait for 3 weeks to get my TMX 31 but it finally arrived yesterday. I spent a lot of time perusing this forum to get my head around what it can do and downloading recipes I like. I'm actually waiting for my first batch of chooky's no fuss rolls to rise. Have been cooking up a storm. I would recommend you do the same as it has really helped me.
