Hi everyone,
I was wondering what everyone's favourite (1only) main meal done in the thermomix is?
Thanks
-
Not sure what mine is but the rest of the family would be saying Chunky Chilli Beef with the Creamy Lemon Fetta. They get so excited when I say we are having it for dinner. From the cook's point of view it's really easy to make and tastes great.

Thanks Twitter. I have 2 daughters (11 and 9) and it sounds yummy. Is the recipe in the EDC?
-
It's here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1474.15) Montoya. Enjoy ;D
-
My family love Creamy Tomato & Salami Fettuccine (EDC p.89); we made vegetarian with mushroom, less cream and spaghetti no.3
-
I don't have 1 favourite, many recipes I only make once but that doesn't mean I didn't like them - there are just too many recipes around to not try something different most of the time.
-
Ok both printed out and in my recipe folders to try. Judy, which recipe that you have tried really surprised you in flavour?
-
Butter chicken (indian cookbook) and chicken stroganoff (EDC)

That's an easy one to answer Yvette. Tuna Noodle Corn Casserole (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1618.0) - I have made that one a few times and I just love it.

I've only had my Tmx 7 weeks Montoya but ive used it every day sometimes 3 or 4 times in one day. My favorite at the moment is the mustard brandy chicken from pg 40 of the gluten free cookbook with some steamed veg in the varoma tray :) my second fav is the Chinese pepper steak from the meat on the menu book. What is yours??
-
Here's the Mustard Brandy Chicken (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2902.0) recipe Montoya - it has been posted on the forum if you don't have the Gluten Free book.
-
I've only had my TMX for a few weeks, but so far our favorite is Jo's cashew chicken from her blog - Quirky Cooking.
The cashew sauce is amazing!
(not sure how to post a link to her blog, but if you google "quirky cooking cashew chicken" it's there)
Here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5335.0) it is

Thanks again everyone. I've printed them all out. Lisa, I haven't even got my thermie yet but I am PREPARED with lots of yummy recipes to try. Will let you know when I start using it. I get the feeling that the recipes here are more tasty than the recipes in the EDC so that is why I am trying to be organised beforehand.
-
We have lots of delicious recipes here that our members have kindly posted - and here is my current list of favourites (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.0) - hopefully I will get a chance to update again shortly.

:) Swiss beef
-
great thread - I havent made too many mains but did like the Beef Strogonoff - although it had too much water for me so I have made a note to reduce it.
Also the Beef Madras was good - with a bit of tweaking
-
Mine is Quirky Jo's lentil bolognaise. A regular in this house, but must have the sundried tomatoes in it. http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com/2009/01/lentil-bolognese.html (http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com/2009/01/lentil-bolognese.html)

Great thread Montoya, I'm new to TMX as well so this is giving me some good ideas. I'm struggling to find main meals that the kids love (6 & 8yo) but I can recommend the beef stroganoff from the EDC, definitely worth trying.
-
Thanks Auds and deedub! Thought it would be good to get the professional thermie users opinion as they know what they are talking about.

Hard to pick a favourite but can't go past quirky jo's chicken and cashews and Chelsea's garlic prawn risotto.
-
The link to this recipe doesn't work for me. Am I doing something stupid?
-
Which recipe are you after p9?
My favourite TMX recipe is Rainbow's Easy Carbonara (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3442.0). I make this a million different ways - sometimes with mushrooms, sometimes with sundried tomatoes and salami, sometimes with chicken, it's just delicious and so easy. I don't always use cream, sometimes I use Skinny Tinny (Light Evaporated Milk).

Sorry, I wanted the Chunky Chilli Beef please.

p9 - the link takes you to the second page of the recipe... if you click on [1] at the top left, you'll find the recipe.
Hope this helps

Thanks everyone. Go the recipe now. If I had a brain, I'd be dangerous, wouldn't I?
