Title: Christmas Rum Ball Tree (with photo)
Post by: Tasty on December 20, 2011, 03:01:25 pm: I thought I'd share this Christmas Rum Ball tree idea with those who might be interested. I didn't have a TMX at the time however you can use any rum ball recipe or truffle recipe for that matter to make this for Christmas.

It's my first time posting a photo so I hope it works.

Everyone else hehe - I made it by buying a polystyrene cone/Christmas tree shape from Spotlight. They come in at least 2 sizes. For that picture, I also wrapped it in alfoil. You make it by inserting toothpicks into the cone. Although it may look simple, it can be quite fiddly to get it looking good. You need smaller balls for the top and it can be tricky to hide the toothpick from poking through towards the top.

Anyone has a recipe for a moist truffle or rum ball that will also stay together for something like this?
