Title: Thanks to the moderators

There seems to have been a bit of a proliferation of spam type messages appearing in threads and I notice that the Mods are doing a sterling job in clearing them out.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to them for doing such a boring and thankless task - wanted you to know you are very much appreciated.   :-* :-* :-* :-*

Thanks Katya, it is hard to leave the computer when this happens.  I was wanting to make a cake and had to wait until he logged off for a while - he came back though. DH said why don't you leave it there - he just doesn't understand  :-))

I just do not understand why people do that.
What can they gain from spamming the forum??

Yes he was busy today so a big thanks from me too!!

They do it to increase their google ratings etc - tis all to do with SEO (search engine optimisation) I have done a little work with it and still don't understand it fully but that is what they will be doing it for - just pains in the butts really!  ;)

Thanks to the wonderful moderators for doing such a great job. Without you the forum would fall apart and I couldn't live without it now  :D

Oh you guys are embarrassing me.
I really only did the later shift as dear Judy gets to them before me.
Thanks to Karen too as she got rid of lots of the earlier ones. It was kind of funny later in the evening as I just scrolled down the 'home' page and everytime I saw the name I deleted it. It became a game.
I think that we realise this may happen and when we say yes to the job it is part of it. But it is so very kind of you.
Thank you Judy.  The pm's were flying between us.

The biggest thanks to MM for getting rid of them for us.

The moderators have done such a good job that I never even saw any of the spam. You all do a wonderful job.
