Hunted around for some figs, and eventually got hold of them to make this. Unfortunately the bit of ginger slipped through my trolley as I walked around the supermarket so I just made the variation for a more subtle flavour with seeds of 1/2 vanilla bean. Would have loved to have had the kick of the ginger, and seeing as everyone gobbled this up in a nano second will be making it again. The serves are not "largish" and think my mob would have liked a bit more, but it was a nice finish to a big roast dinner anyway. There were no complaints so 5/5
