Title: Dicing Bacon
Post by: ELH05 on January 31, 2012, 11:01:40 pm
Im a newbie so hence noob question !

I tried to do diced bacon for a pizza the other night but ending up turning to mush - what is the correct setting for nice pieces that actually still look like bacon !!!

Lol! I think we have all done that and more. I like to chop mine when frozen now. I just turn the TMX on to about 6 and feed it I through the lid. Might work too when not frozen. Live and learn. There are a lot of experts here. I am not one of them!

I do it very carefully. I use frozen bacon and speed 3-4 for a milli second at a time. Sometimes pieces are still left though. For pizza etc I do it by hand.

The TM is brilliant but I do think there are some things best for us to do our self like chop bacon.

I've never tried in the TM. I know the TM replaces many other things I used to do ie I never chop onions by hand anymore but I still prefer to chop certain things by hand eg bacon.
