Title: Sclales stopped weighing
Post by: Kazza14 on February 12, 2012, 11:46:08 am
I was cubing some pork and weighing it into the bowl as I went, the scales just reverted back to the timer without me even touching anything, why was this, was I taking too long?

Yep Kazza. That's exactly right. If you take too long it resets the weight again. Some times it pays to pre dice everything ready to go in when weighing large amounts. Especially meat that takes some time to dice up and weigh as you go.

Thanks Meagan. I knew someone would know the exact amount of time before it resets.

it's amazing how fast 5 minutes can go too when you are chopping and weighing  :-)) I keep an eye on my scales and keep track of my weight now if I do the chop and weigh  ;)

Thanks for pointing this out. There are so many little bits of info like this that knowledge beforehand would help ward off many panic attacks  . . and so often these are only learned through experience.   "Forewarned is forearmed!" as the saying goes . . !
