Going on a picnic this weekend with friends and need some recommendations for vegetarian picnic food. Oh and seafood, tuna stuff is fine too.

What about pizza scrolls? Make a basic bread dough, roll it out flat in a big rectangle, cover with pizza sauce, cheese and any toppings that you like (I usually use a varying mix of chilli, garlic, corn kernels, olives, sundried tomatoes, capsicum, parsley, left over vegetarian sausage diced, basil, sometimes but not usually cheese). Roll up. Bake at approx 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
My youngest son won't eat the pizza ones, so he gets a cheesymite version instead.

Tasty, frittata is good for picnics. I also like to take a substantial salad, like this one: http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/26357/pumpkin+bean+salad+with+feta (http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/26357/pumpkin+bean+salad+with+feta), one of Tenina's dinner spinner salads with quinoa would also be good, and you could use hte tmx!

What about Cottage Rolls (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4310.0)?

For a bit of 'class', you could make a savory 'cheese cake'.yotam Ottolenghi's augergine 'cheese cake'. (http://achookwoman.blogspot.com.au/2010/03/yotam-ottolenghis-aubergine-cheesecake.html)

What she said...
This (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4803.msg60743#msg60743) sweet potato frittata is yummy as finger food, warm or cold. Also travels well :)

Here are a couple of suggestions. This (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2883.0) started life as Cheesy Tuna Strudels from Thermie Groupie, but I just changed things around a bit to make it vegetarian. One of my main stays is JD's Noodle and Cheese Slice (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3526.0) - sort of frittata'ish, but once again really easy to change around and add or subtract ingredients - I love it with semi dried tomatoes scattered on top.
Andiesenjie has just posted this lasagna and it looks like a good idea as well http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=9089.0 - unfortunately I don't know how to add the URL correctly when editing a post!

Quiche is my #1 picnic dish. Judy Dawn's mushroom & caramelised onion tarts are great. Nicely cooked cold vegetables eg: Roasted corn with lime & sweet chilli. Grilled asparagus with lemon. Mixed bean salad. Quinoa salad with pesto & roasted veggies. Sandwiches!

Try my lentil pie recipe here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8658.0). You could make these party pie sized using a silicon muffin pan. I eat it cold as well as hot but DW prefers it hot.

Ok, so I have decided to go with cottage rolls as something different but simple enough to make and also cheesy tuna strudels (looking forward to making that one with so many positive reviews).
I like scrolls too but not too keen to make the dough...maybe another time.
Not a fan of lentils - sorry or quiche.
I like the other suggestions too and will probably try them out at some point to test them out.
Thanks for all your help!
