Hi,
I have been to a demo and a varoma demo and after begging my husband I placed an order for my TM on Friday night. NOW the wait until I get it. I'm not afraid to admit I am not a very good cook. If it doesn't come out of a packet or jar I am hopeless. I am hoping (and so is hubby) that I will be a better cook with TM. ;D
I am looking forward to a long and happy relationship with my TM.

Hello Snoozy and welcome. I hope your TMX arrives soon. The waiting always seems so long but you will have plenty of fun experimenting with it. I am sure your cooking will improve drastically ;D

Welcome SnoozySuzie :) You are in exactly the right place and have purchased exactly the right equipment to help you. How do I know this you ask... well 4 1/2 years ago I was the same as you. If it wasn't meat and 3 veg or out of a packet or jar I couldn't cook it. Now I make things ... well just because I can with the aid of my trust assistant in the kitchen ;) ;) You will soon be impressing yourself and your DH ;D

There are several people who were exactly like you before thermie... Give yourself time to adjust to how to cook with thermie and you will be knocking out some fbulous meals nd treats.. The wait is painful .. Hope it gets there soon 😊

Welcome to the forum SnoozySuzie :)

Welcome SnoozySusan. We all know the agony of having to wait, but it's well worth it. Browse the forum for recipes and ideas, clean the house (because you are not going to want to stop cooking once your TMX arrives) and stock up your larder with essentials then nothing will hold you back when the big day arrives.
Before too long (approximately one hour, from memory) you will be wanting to cook all sorts of things - many of them "just because you can". I'm always making things just because I can and giving them away - it's great fun - and fun is what cooking with the TMX is all about.

Welcome to the forum Suzie. I'm sure the TM will create a love of cooking once it arrives. I know I was like Faffa and just had meat and 3 veg, nothing too exciting here for us.
But now with the TM our whole diet had changed. I make so many things that I just wouldn't even attempt to try before, and I really love to cook.
I especially love the variety of foods. No chance of getting bored with the same food now.

Welcome to the forum Suzie, while you wait for your thermomix to arrive
it will give you a chance to browse through the forum and choose some
recipes you'd like to start with. I'm sure you will both be very impressed
with the results.

Hi Suzie and welcome to the forum.

Hi Suzie - welcome to the forum! You'll find so much on here and if ever there's a problem just pop it on here and you'll have one if not several responses in very short order! Look forward to hearing how you get on and how impressed your DH is with "his" decision . . . and with his food!! ;D

Hi Suzie, a big welcome to the world of the Thermomix and this forum. One piece of advice - do place your TMX on the benchtop and NOT in the cupboard. It will be used everyday if not many times a day once you get the hang of it. To make most things from scratch is most rewarding and you will find yourself making things you never ever expected. Have fun, get DH involved and between the 2 of you, I'm sure your lives will be enriched with your purchase.

Welcome Suzie. You will become a wonderful cook when your TMX arrives, it may take a little practise and getting used to it, but it will come. I've had mine 3½ years and this morning was impressed that I could make Pomegranite Molasses in it for about 1/4 the cost or even less.

Thank you everyone for your kind and encouraging words. I can't wait until my TM arrives !
I have found lots of yummy recipes already !!
It's going to be exciting like Christmas morning when it finally gets here!
-
Oh Snoozy, it is far more exciting than Christmas, believe me. I don't know about Australia, but Christmas in the UK is generally a miserable affair - cold, damp, windy, over-commercialised and one can’t even go out for a quiet drink with friends without having to come into contact with numerous drunken idiots. Give me a TMX anytime over that any day! ;D
