Hi Everyone,
I am new here, and new to Thermomix, I got my T-mo (short for Theodore Thermomix, don't ask why! lol) on Tuesday morning and have been having a ball since!! Mainly sticking to some basics for now, but am going to give gluten free bread rolls a go tonight, so I guess that is pretty adventurous. :)
I am around on a few other sites, and have kept my name the same so people know who I am. I do blog, but haven't blogged about T-mo as yet.
I am from the Central Coast of NSW and mum to 3 lovely kids DS19, DD7 & DD6, have a wonderful partner, a couple of dogs & a cat...sounds like a personal add...lol
Look forward to reading and taking part in the forum, who knows, one day I might even get good enough to be able to share some recipes!
Cheers
LR

Awesome to *meet* you LR! ;D
We all tend to name our TMXs... one of ours is TiM... I guess the other one is ToM! LOL!
A few of us blog as well so you're in great company!
Pull up a seat and join in! :)

Great to see you introduce your self LR, now we know a little about you and your family. And yes making bread rolls is a little adventurous in your first week. (but I think I attempted the same thing)and they turned out great.
-
Hi LR, welcome to the forum. If you are forum savvy you will notice how nice and friendly this one is and you are bound to get to the stage where you share some recipes with us. Good luck with the bread, we all love making our own bread or rolls and have people on here who are pretty darn good at it so are able to offer their advice when we have a problem.
-
Thanks everyone! I feel welcome already :-*
The rolls turned out pretty well I think. I don't need to eat gluten free, but tried one anyway and they taste good to me! My partner will have to give me her verdict when home from work.
Have some dough for cheese & bacon rolls on the go now, and then on to beetroot salad & pumpkin soup. Oh and just made a banana smoothie in between it all for DS19.
:D :D

I am just getting this vague feeling you are having fun!! :) :) :) :) :)

Your doing great then LR if your doing another batch of rolls. I love the cheese and bacon rolls (my family's favorite. I have never brought any rolls since getting my TM (around 14 months ago) cause mine are as good if not better than the store brought ones.
-
Plus those rolls saves you a lot of money. The cheese and bacon ones were $2.80 each at bakers delight!
-
Welcome to the forum LR. You sound as though you are thoroughly enjoying making lots of things. Does your partner like to cook too?
-
Just a little fun courton ;) ;)
Loving the Cheese & Bacon rolls, the kids were VERY impressed, and yes I am going to love the savings that will bring!
Cookie1, my partner isn't a cook...actually doesn't like cooking at all. But she is hoping T-mo may change that ;) She has successfully cooked the custard twice now, and looks forward to trying a few more things out.
I agree dede that the rolls are better than store bought, and I know they will be a staple around here!
-
Which recipe did you use for the rolls please LR?
My partner is also gluten free and a non cook... however, she does use the TMX often! :D
-
LittleRamblings Im sure the more she sees what T-mo can do the more I'm sure she will want to use T-mo and get a love of cooking like many others.

Welcome to the forum LR. :)

I used the one in the 'special diet' forum. It is near the top of the forum. I am not sure that it ground everything correctly, as the tops of the rolls had a 'grainy' texture, but they still tasted ok. I am imagining my partner will start to use it too as time goes on Ceejay :-)
Thanks Cornish Cream, I am happy to be here :)
I know she has fallen in love with the food dede, and I am sure the love for cooking in it will come....that is if I ever let her near it mwahahaha

Welcome LR. Nice to have another Central Coaster on here!

Welcome to the forum. You sound like you're really enjoying T- Mo.

Welcome to the forum.
T-Mo will make cooking so much fun you will both forget it is a 'chore' and enjoy sharing it.
So afr I am the only one in the house to use TC. DH is too scared, but loves the results.
And DGS would love to play and has helped by pouring ingredient in through the top, but he has poor fine motor skills and so usually he just helps decorate cakes etc.
