Welcome to the forum GymPrincess, I know this topic has been posted before. One of the other members will give you a link soon (cause they are great like that)
One of the very first things I would try would be the vegetable concentrate in the Every day cook book that you get with your TM.
The veggie concentrate is used in lots of recipes in the book and on the forum.

Bet your excited. Hope you don't have to wait to long. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have a browse through the recipe section and see what takes your fancy?
The chocolate chip biscuits in the Every Day Cookbook you receive with your machine are very nice.
Hope you don't have to wait too long.

Hi Nicky, welcome to the forum.  An exciting time for you and it is a good idea to get things into your pantry so that you are ready to go.  Check out some of the recipes on the forum - they are tried and true and have reviews/tweaks to suit everyone. We also have reviews of recipes from all the books currently available - I would suggest you check to see if the recipe you are wanting to try is on the list as it can be quite helpful to read what others have thought of the recipe and the changes they have made, if necessary.
In the meantime, here are some links to threads that might interest you.

Congratulations on getting a thermie and don't chew all your fingernails off waiting for it. Judy has pretty much summarized everything perfectly (as usual!) - definitely work your way through the EDC when you get your TM but in the meantime, the first thing I made was the vegetable stock concentrate as has been mentioned as you use this in a myriad of dishes. Also, have a supply of cream cheese, eggs, cheese ( especially parmesan- dont ever buy grated cheese again, by the way!), rices, various nuts, flours and herbs if you can. You also find that you have a lot of vegetables and fruit to use up- anything that is left in the bottom of the veggie crisper soon gets used up in various dishes. For example, my main thing with my kids is a challenge to incorporate as many veggies as possible in my bolognese sauce. My current record stands at 13- you'll be amazed at how versatile you become in managing your fridge and pantry to make the best use of what you have. You'll soon find that you won't be buying dips, bread and a variety of processed foods ever again.

Merlin, they are great tips! I was wondering is it only the parmesan you can grate or can you grate other cheeses! I cant wait! My friend is the consultant and as a joke I texted her the morning after the demo and said "is it here yet!!!!" LOL

You can pretty much grate any harder cheeses ie cheddar, parmesan, gruyere etc but obviously softer cheeses won't work.

Hi there Gym Princess, if your name is anything to go by you will be into healthy foods, so maybe get some frozen fruit in the freezer for some lovely smoothies.   Make some LSA to add.   You will love it.

Gym Princess I actually grate most of my cheese in the TMX. Even mozzarella. You do have to watch it though and grab it before it blends back into a ball of cheese.
Welcome to the forum.
