Hi
Now that I have ordered my pizza maker I would like to know of everyone's favourite pizza toppings. I have a fussy DS who will only eat ham, cheese and pineapple but would love some more ideas. I love pumpkin and avocado so any ideas with these items would be great and any other great combinations. Can't wait for my pizza maker to turn up.
Thanks

Here's (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2026.0) an early thread on favourite pizza toppings haybray.
-
My favourite would be spinach, fetta and sundried tomato. Chicken and bbq sauce too.
-
a few weeks ago i topped my with, potatos, peas, hard boiled eggs, prawns and hollandaise sauce
-
fundj - that looks just superb! How did you do the potatoes?
-
DS has a ham, pineapple and capsicum on his.
DH and I love proscuitto, sun dried tomatoes, camembert, chicken, mushroom, onions and capsicum with a good swirl of BBQ sauce.
-
I do sundried tomatoes, prosciutto, sliced bocconcini, rocket leaves and those anchovy stuffed olives that you can get in the supermarket- I could eat a whole jar of those olives by themselves! One of my twins loves the olives etc but the other one will only go for the ham, cheese and pineapple thing. Oh well, keep persisting I say!
-
We just have the usual on our pizzas like
Ham, cabana, capsicum, sundries tomatoes or fresh tomatoes, spring onion or normal onion, mushroom, tomato paste mixed with tomato relish for the base, pineapple, cheese(of course) pepperoni or salami, garlic paste (for garlic pizza).
Or what ever else I can find in the fridge to throw on it. :)
-
GF I parboiled my for this pizza, if i was doing a pizza bianca with pots and rosemary i would use them raw, thinly sliced with a Mandolin slicer
-
Thank you = appreciate that! . . that pizza looks so wonderful!
-
Using spring onion dip or Teninas pesto on the base, topped with smoked chicken breasts, avocado, bocconcini and pine nuts.
Or refried beans mixed together with salsa and spread on a large tortilla, top with shredded chicken and top with tasty cheese, cook, then top with lettuce, baby toms, spring onion and sour cream.
Or yummy with a bottle of bubbles, quince paste warmed and spread on base, and top with Camembert cheese.
.......we prefer not to fill up on thick dough bases, so almost always use thicker pita/tortillas for the base, and pack on more toppings.

Maddy, you are making me hungry again.
Photos look great,
Robyn :)
-
Beautiful photos Maddy.
The pizzas we have the most are:
-Baked beans (replace the sauce with homemade sauce if using tinned), onion, tomato, bacon slivers and a mix of cheeses and herbs
-Tomato, zucchini, onion, pepperoni slivers and fetta topped with fresh herbs and EVOO
-Semi dried tomato, avocado, onion, prawns, bocconcini and topped with a little chilli
(All on top of homemade tomato sauce of course)
-Newest favourite is Turkish pizza (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=9333.0)
-
Most popular one recently was a dessert pizza. Cream cheese spread on the base, grated chocolate over it. Served with a mix of sour cream and yogurt topped with berries and more choc flakes. Base was a thin uncooked TM made base. It wasn't GF so I had to look on as the hoards devoured it :)
-
A huge fav atm with dh & I is caramelised garlic paste, rosemary & pink salt, drizzled with olive oil, absolutely yum
H :)
-
anything goes these days. frank use to make a tortellini one and a spag bol one 2 yuk yuk

My top three pizza favourites would have to be...
1. Garlic prawn, green capsicum, onion, pineapple and mushroom.
2. Thinly sliced tomato, mushroom, tuna, tinned corn and red capsicum.
3. Sliced leftover vegetables (I like carrot, cauliflower and broccoli) topped with thin slices of tomato.
Yum yum, I want pizza now...
-
Our family favourite is white crab meat, grated carrot and sweetcorn. We tend to throw on some black olives too, plus roasted red peppers if we have them.
-
We have a wood fired pizza oven out the back and we love thin and crispy bases. Hard to pick a favourite, but a popular one would be drizzle the base with garlic oil (fresh garlic and EVOO whizzed in TM) top with thinly sliced potatoes and sprinkle with rosemary salt. Yum.
Hubby likes anything with hairy fish and chilli.
I have too many favourites to list.
-
Our family favourite is potato pizza, made similarly to Nikit's one above, but I but a little bit of boconccini or mozarella and parmesan on too. Then some fresh rosemary, a sprinkle of good quality salt and yum, yum.
-
l like to use left over satay chicken on my pizza

FREE FORM PIZZA - TART
Cut SHORTCRUST pastry sheets into four 20cm circles. Spread a little pesto on each pastry circle, leaving a 2cm border, then roll up the edges to resemble a pizza crust.
Lightly beat 1 egg and a extra yolk and 2 TBLS cream in TM, then ^^ in 40 g cheese (Mozzeralla and cheddar). Season, then carefully pour over the pizza bases.
Top bases with sundried tomatoes, salami, onion and olives, then bake for 10 minutes on 200oc. Remove from the oven, sprinkle over 40g extra cheese and bake for a further 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and pastry is crisp. Scatter with basil leaves, then cut into wedges and serve.
Yummy just making this for a wet Saturday lunch.

He's a good friend of mine too, never die wondering - always ask Mr Google.
We have a chimichurri sauce (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8253.0) on the forum courtesy of JulieO - we're the next best thing to Mr Google :D :D :D
-
Instead of the usual tomato pizza sauce, I have started using a Vegetable Relish that comes in mild, medium and hot. We go for the hot.
The main ingredient in the relish is Roast capsicum.
We then use cheese, cooked sliced onion, marinated artichokes, ham, mushrooms, sliced cherry tomatoes or chopped sundries.
Chopped black olives are good on it also. Fresh shredded basil or a sprinkle of dried.
All this goes on our base which is usually Wholemeal Pita breads. It crisps up beautifully in a 180 fan forced oven for 20 mins. :)
-
I did pizzas for tea tonight, base was hash brown (1/2 cooked before topping) topped with bbq sauce, fried mince, diced bacon, onion flakes, cheese and pizza topper. :)
