This is a recipe that lives up to Thermomix Australia's new slogan: "Creating Everyday Surprises". It is surprising how easy it is to make bread in the Varoma. I enjoy making this recipe. By serving as toast, as recommended, no one need be put off by the lack of crust.
One thing I learned at Cooking Class, which is not included on the recipe page, is that this recipe is beautiful with fruit or olives added. The extras plump up beautifully during the steaming. At Christmas time, I made a steamed fruit loaf to use up the water I'd soaked the mixed fruit in and was very happy to feel so thrifty and enjoy a delicious start to the day, thanks to the Thermomix.

I often make this when we are travelling Cecilia as I don't have to worry about the oven. It is lovely with sultanas added to so that it is a fruit loaf. Perfect for morning tea on the road on a cool morning.
There is lots of discussion about it here. (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=98.0)

Thanks a lot for the link, Cookie. I only started the thread because it wasn't listed on JD's Full Steam Ahead summary. Bonus! I can now check out everyone else's experience.

Thanks Cecilia & Cookie - steamed bread reviews are now added to the list. It's nice to find those hidden reviews.
