Post by: Frozzie on May 09, 2012, 09:41:13 pm
I met up with Trudy today and spent a lovely amusing day visiting chateaux etc ..will be off again tomorrow visiting some more with them.. Sorry no photos of us as yet as today started off a bit stressful and forgot the camera (flat tyre debarcle) but will get one photo at least before they leave 😊

Trudy is absolutely lovely and enjoyed taking her and dh and co around.. Was a nice day which started off very grey but ended up nice and sunny.. Tomorrow is supposed to be lovely and sunny ..fingers crossed!

... well, at the moment at least it's sunny here in Melbourne - however, that could all change in a very short time!

Frozzie, so wonderful to hear that your time with Trudy is so enjoyable and that the weather is being kind to you.  Hope you enjoy the rest of her visit.

After waiting so long Kim, the time has finally arrived.  How are the travellers, getting a bit weary or keeping up with the pace?  Hope the sun keeps shining for you all - enjoy your valuable time together & make the most of it.  Say hi to Trudes for me.

Ok it seems i have given you all the impression that i. Am very depressed and ready to jump off. Bridge or something.. So just to clear that up.. Have had. Hard year so far and the weather got me down in the dumps for a good week there but all is well.. Soldiering on and all that.. Chirpy and cheery joking around me 😄

Glad you are not going to jump Frozzie LOL. Sometimes life gets us down, but we need to pick ourselves up, dust yourself off and get back on track. Seems like your on that track again Frozzie.

However, if you do ever feel inclined to jump off a bridge, make sure you are firmly attached to a bungee cord!

Frozzie and Trudy,  both have a great time.  Is the Abbey de Fontrevaud where Richard the Lionheart is buried with his mother,  Eleanor of Aquitaine?  If it is, we spent a most memorable few nights at a nunnery in the ground,  several years ago.  Was then run as a farm and we had dinner there.   Great memories.  Would love to go back.

Hahahahaha marina.. Actually dont think i could even do that as heights freak me out.. Did try once in queenstown nz but thé tiny little platform had me frzaking out that i couldnt go through with it.. Think its thé proximité to thé ground as jumping out of à plane im fine with..

Reading this thread has brought back so many happy memories for me as a few years ago DH and I spent 8 weeks in France (Paris, the Loire Valley and the South of France) immersing ourselves in the language, culture and food and had an absolutely wonderful time. The trip before that, we spent a couple of weeks in Paris and Chamomix during the ski season. I can highly recommend an extended stay in France. Am green with envy Frozzie. Hope the weather stays good for you.

One day I am going to ride through some French countryside on a bike, with a baguette and cheese in my basket. I'm not sure if I will have other things in my basket like some macarons, cream puffs, croissants, pate, champagne...but I certainly hope so! Its my dream.
