Yes, pretty easy to be GF when the key ingredient is chocolate!!

I thought it was interesting that Nigella's website had heaps of her recipes. I got the Nigella Express book for Xmas but don't have others. She definitely enjoys her good, doesn't she?  :)

I had only said to DH a few minutes before that I had read the recipe through and it was easy to do in Kermie!!  :)

Name of Recipe: Flourless Chocolate Brownies - by Nigella Lawson  GF & DF

Number of People: Makes 16 serves (we did 8 and was a little rich for that quantity...  :))

Ingredients: and Preparation:
See link - recipe on her website. http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/flourless-chocolate-brownies-with-hot-chocolate-sauce-22 -

Even though I had read the recipe through, I forgot to do the ground almonds first and ended up having to take the melted choc out of the TM, wash, grind almonds and chop walnuts, set aside, then choc back in. Other than needing to do that first, you can basically follow the recipe as it reads.

Photos: Sorry, didn't take photos of mine... see link

Tips/Hints: Do small serving sizes as it is very rich, but very yummy! I didn't do the sauce, just served warm (nice and gooey) with King Island Pure Cream. Had some cold the next day with vanilla ice cream. Was different once cold and was more fudgey and pretty full on!

One to impress and very easy. Oh, and gluten and diary free!!

Zan - So easy to make in the tmx.
I made the almond meal, then chopped nuts (used mixture of almond/cashew/macadamia as don't like walnuts), both set aside, chopped and melted the choc and butter, added the rest of the ingredients as per recipe. Really quick and easy.
Wow so rich and decadent.

Hi ILB!

I made the Passion fruit Berry Dacquoise from the Thermomix site on NYE. Incredibly yummy and very impressive. We used fresh raspberries and put it all together a few hours before which meant the cream nicely melded into the meringue.

See http://thermorecipes.blogspot.com/2008/12/dacquoise-and-mousse.html

Good luck!!

Well... we had guests Friday and Saturday night - and I feel like a TM consultant!! I always have to apologise for sounding like a sales person when people ask about my Kermie...  :)

So, Friday night with friends from NZ we had non-TM main (trout and vegies on bbq), but I did made the capsicum and sundried tomato dip for before and for dessert had blueberry sponge. They stayed the night and so made scrambled eggs and a raspberry smoothie to show off! They were flipping through the recipe books and asking lots of questions. Very funny.

Saturday night my brother and SIL were in town and were wanting to see the TM after hearing about it all at Xmas (when I gave them fudge etc). So we made risotto which they loved.

Today we made the tuna dip for lunch, coleslaw to go with steak and other salad for dinner, and I cooked up mince, vegies and rice for the doggie. He is getting old and just diagnosed with kidney failure, so struggling to eat and not liking lots of things after one or two serves. He loved his first TM meal. Hoping he likes it again tomorrow.

That's about it for now!

This looks great!

Quick question - when freezing bananas to later use for icecream, do they need to not be too over ripe? I freeze any banana that is very over ripe and defrost later to use in muffins etc, but it looks like they need to be reasonably edible to then be able to peel and freeze.

Thanks!

We built a new house last year and have an all white kitchen with Snow Caesarstone benches and white laminate (forget the official colour name) for the cupboards and drawers.

I love the stone. Being able to take things from the stove/oven and plonk on the benchtop is great. Also good for rolling out dough etc - which of course I have only started doing since Kermie came into my life!  :D

Also a big fan of drawers. I have all drawers except for under the sink and a couple of narrow cupboards. I particularly love my set of three 900mm wide drawerers - top utensils, next is foil etc and all sorts of things, bottom deeper and large mixing bowls etc. So great to be able to access everything easily with drawers.

Love my kitchen!!

Hi,

I did a quick dip when a friend called to say she was coming to visit! Had bought stuff for the EDC Sundried tom and capsicum dip this morning. Later on did a new batch of vegie stock and then some coleslaw which we will shortly have with our bbq.

The other night I did the EDC Beef Rendang. It is yummy, had once before. Havled the recipe - except for the chilli - oops! Was a little spicy but added some yoghurt and mango chutney and was even better.

Can't think what else we did last week... This week planning a risotto and probably mash to do with something once night. DH does his porridge every morning too and I sometimes sneak in a smoothie for brekky.

I have made Thermomixer's Zucchini Cake - see http://thermomix-er.blogspot.com/2010/01/thermomix-zucchini-cake.html. Just tasted it and so so yummy! I had a similar situation as to what Thermixer says on the recipe - a neighbour gave me two massive zucchinis from their garden. Used almost one here and only used the outer flesh and skin. Recipe makes two loaves too. Hoping it should freeze ok.

Also today, made the Dairy and Nut Free Muesli Slice that is on here. Haven't tasted yet - tells me I can't cut it until tomorrow! Smells pretty good though.

I know, it is crazy. I was at Vic Market buying the rocket for this and passed through the deli section - the nice ones there were over $5 for half a small container. This recipe made at least 4 times the quantity!  :)

I made this to take to friends last night and everyone loved it!
It came up a beautiful bright green too - looks so much nicer than the bought ones.

Thanks Thermomixer  :)

Hot bread and butter - the best! After we had finished the soup we had more with butter and TM raspberry jam.  :)

Just had one of the rolls for lunch with TM hommus and some TM coleslaw on the side, so much healthier! It is the day for leftovers...

Thanks, will definitely try this. Have been looking for a recipe!

The cost of muesli bars is ridiculous and my DH takes them to work for snacks.

Sounds yummy!  :)

Another one!
I made these for dinner last night to have with TM vegie soup from the freezer.

Made into five decent size rolls - yummo!
I was a little worried the dough didn't seem to rise enough, but must have as turned out beautifully. I love the crunch of the crust, just perfect and how I like it.

Only problem is that our healthy dinner became less so, as of course they went perfectly with lots of butter...

I have one to have with my lunch today.

Thanks Isi.  :)
