Vegetarian / Re: Cyndi O'Meara's vegetarian sausage rolls

Served them to my partner and his apprentice. Both loved them and the apprentice wouldn't believe they were vegetarian. He still swears they had meat in them!

Will def be making them again and will try the trick of not thawing the bought puff pastry too much.

I made these today. They are delish!!!

So tasty, but unfortunately not low calories. So will have to limit my intake. Have told my partner I have made him some sausage rolls but he hasn't tried yet. I will see if he notices they aren't meat! I wouldn't have known if I hadn't made them.

I made them with the butter puff pastry from woolies only issue I had was trying to put the mixture on the puff pastry and then roll. I think having a piping bag would make it a lot easier. Might try that next time.

Wish mine looked as good as maddy's picture though.

Soups / Re: Curried Pumpkin and Lentil Soup
« on: August 04, 2011, 08:59:58 am »
I made this soup last night and I loved it. It is quite thick (which I prefer). I only put a teaspoon of curry in but could had more if you wanted it. I was thinking some other spices might go well in it too. I will def be making this one again!!

I think it was just too much liquid - might give it another shot and reduce the amount of liquid.

I am making a few different soups tonight so am sure will love one of them.

Hi I received my thermomix last thursday and am already trying to cook everything. My partner is hoping it will wash and dry the clothes as well.  :)

Anyway looking forward to using this forum to get some really yummy recipes and tips from other users.

I made this soup today but thew it out before eating it. I looked more like a milkshake than a soup, tasted it and didn't get the flavours at all even though I love carrot and coriander. Think if i make it again I would add a lot less liquid. Pity as  I was looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow.
