Luckily for me, our new TMX5 arrived in the mail this morning. Unfortunately, lee is somewhere on a plane between here and melbourne so will not be able to use it....but, I will though... -:)

We are both enjoying our break back in Australia - had a lovely Christmas with my parents in Adelaide. Back home to Frankfurt on Wednesday.  I hope that a lovely Christmas was had by all!

my pleasure. It was by accident that I stumbled across her kitchen in the Museum of American History on Friday - had no more room in my suitcase for any more shopping so went to the museum instead. Arrived back into Frankfurt this morning.... :)

Well, I am back in my hotel room (did get a lovely upgrade with stunning views of Washington). The Julia Child exhibit was just fantastic - she had donated her original kitchen and quite a lot of her cooking "tools" just before she died. The closest thing that she got to a TMX was an extremely large marble mortel and pessel that she used to grind things into a very fine paste. Certainly worth seeing....

Thanks for the tip fundj - i will just cut the rolls from the cylinder and place on tray as is  :)

Hi Chookie,

i used just normal plain flour from supermarket here in Germany. I used fresh yeast approx 35 g in weight and had done a calculation for dry yeast, you could try less. I had no water in the over. Next time i could try brushing them as soon as i put in oven.
