See you've already got your answer, but it's a definite no, they are for shaping the dough only

I'm not on here that much these days but remember Amy fondly and quite often wondered how she is going. It's great to hear she is going well and expecting a baby soon. Thanks for sharing.

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Granite countertop vs Silpat for dough work« on: May 21, 2016, 10:45:17 am »
I haven't done any pastry in a long time but I always found it better working directly on my kitchen top, the pastry stayed cooler and there was no slipping.

JulieO and Cookie have you seen the inspiralized website. It's from a lady in NJ USA and she has some great recipes. I follow her on instagram as well as she's really into health and fitness and I find her recipes easy and tasty.

Maddy your pasta looks great. We use ours a bit but can't seem to get the fettuccine as wide and flat as yours. Any chance you could post a picture of the mould?

Slice of health, do you think coconut sugar would work? I don't have any rapadura but do have a big bag of coconut sugar

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Re: The Healthy Mix Skinnymixer« on: January 31, 2016, 09:59:26 pm »
That's interesting Maddie, I used to make your soup often and really enjoyed it as a quick lunch/dinner. I haven't yet got Skinnymixers latest book but had planned on getting the ebook over the next few days until I read the contents, there really isn't much different in there that hasn't already been done elsewhere from what I can tell. I've really enjoyed her previous books and website so happy to support buy purchasing a copy. Hopefully this is just an oversight or coincidence.

Great gifts everyone, it's so lovely to see how much trouble everyone goes to for online friends.
I finally opened my present yesterday and I'm another very happy recipient. Unfortunately I'm having some computer issues at the moment so can't post a picture but I received a very generous gift of a beautiful cream silk and diamanté clutch, travel manicure set (which I found last night in DD's room already) and a visa gift voucher which will be put to good use today hopefully on some makeup I'm hoping to purchase today when I go shopping to Emporium with DS. Thank you again to my SS and to the wonderful for organising. 10

Thanks cookie for organising. Mine will remain under the tree until Christmas morning, I love opening presents on Christmas day so not even tempted to feel or try to figure it out. sounds like there won't be too many of us waiting.

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: First recipe - I stuffed the rice!« on: November 25, 2015, 01:32:53 am »
you definitely need to have the speed on around 4 or else not enough steam is created. I use around 1ltr water, wash my rice and cook on Varoma for 17 minutes speed 4, and it's normally fine.

Chit Chat / Re: What's for Dinner Tonight?« on: October 25, 2015, 01:26:08 am »
I was pleasantly surprised by dinner last night, apart from some service issues - mains coming at the same time as dessert, but mine was tasty. Thanks to Cookie for organising.

Thanks to Chookie and Cookie for the class and dinner last night, both were great. Thanks to everyone for coming to Melbourne, I've loved meeting lots of new faces and being able to meet everyone in person has been great.
