Thank you, what a good idea. My hubby is a corned beef fan so I hope it turns out nicely  :)

Hi! Just a question about cooking the corned beef in the varoma tray. Is it ok that it covers up all the holes? My piece is 1.5 kg and sure to block all the holes. Will the bit above the holes cook quicker and get tougher?

Hi everyone, I read about everyone having their meal plans and everyone seems to be so on the ball with it, saving money, getting organised. Can anyone tell me how they do it? At the moment I just put every recipe that I like the look of in my reading list on my ipad. My list is huge and becoming unmanageable  :o ???

Tried these without honey. Absolutely beautiful, straight out of oven with a bit of butter!

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.  I can see this forum is going to be a great way to spend the time that i should be using to sleep  :)
I have had my TM about  4 months now and absolutely love it but must admit I am having probs getting things right in the varoma. I'm sure a large amount of trial and error is required but am a mum with two little ones and a work away partner. Same old story.
I find it difficult to get chicken to cook evenly in the varoma base. If some meat is over vents it cooks quickly but the parts  not over the vents take longer. Are you supposed to stir it?
I worry about uncooked meat juice dropping down onto rice so often leave my rice on until it goes gluggy just to ensure the chicken is all cooked.
Does anyone hav any advice?
Thanks  :D
