Hello, hello, Forum! Hope my friends here are well. Miss the banter. Lucky I'm still connected to some via Facebook I wonder if anyone here has made a Rosette Cake before, using this fabulous frosting. Making one for mum's 70th tomorrow. 3 tier 22-cm diameter cake. About 10 cm height. 3 rows of rosettes on the sides, rosettes on the top. Wondering if I could pull it off with 4 batches of this recipe. 2 recipes for filling, coating and top row. 1 recipe each for 2 bottom rows. Thanks!

Ran out of ideas, and time to make afternoon tea for boys. Tried this recipe. Was very yummy! Made it without bacon. Flavours came from carrots, onions, sweet corn and broccoli. Had a sliver of sausage on top of each muffin, just to tantalise fussy DS10 Thanks Karen

Dearest Gert, you are a truly remarkable woman. In your moment of deep sadness, you still manage to be pragmatic. Shows the woman of substance that you are. Thinking of you...and trying to hold back my tears (unsuccessfully). As for Ted, he's probably partying somewhere in Bangkok. Buck naked 😄😆

Looks lovely Bee. Just pull away excess dough from the die and the inner plastic bit and then put both pieces aside to let the dough dry that's stuck in there. You'll find that it will just pop out if you use the little gadget (long thin thing on the end of the slicer paddle thing) to push/dig it out. I like doing that part. The other dies have the plastic covers that pushes out the dry bits.
Julie, the 2 parts of the penne die wouldn't budge when I finished using it. Had to sit down to poke bits and pieces out with the pointy ends of the flat scraper. Lucky I double checked the manual before freezing the penne die 😆😄😂

Thanks Astarra 😄
I was going to retire my penne die. Seemed too hard. Was thinking of using the spaghetti die and cut the pasta very short for pasta bakes etc.
