Hi there , I live in the USA and I have two TM 5 , one German and one American ! I got my cook key when it came out in Germany and yes it works on the Us version ! I have set my us version to gram and for the stored recipes it will go to its default of ounces! If you like more info I will be glad to help you :) my email is gabrielebeckman@yahoo.com :) I am a thermomix user now for 8 years started with the TM31 .
