Hi everyone,
I had never been very big on cooking, and being single it just didn't seem worth the hassle. That left me with perennial tuna salads or cheese and wine as my everyday fare. Besides being boring, it can't be that healthful to eat the same things day in and day out.
All of this changed when I got my Bimby about 2 months ago. It's been a great way to expand the variety of dinner choices. I make stews and lasagnas, lemon chicken, ossobuco. I have people over for dinner (hosted 11 people on Saturday night) and was able to make a sorbet, potato puree, lasagna, a roast (OK, that was outside Bimby), and chocolate liqueur. Since I'm an American guy living in Milan, Italy, I always had a get-out-of-jail-free card with respect to my (lack of) culinary skills. With Bimby, I'm getting to be taken seriously. It was nice getting compliments on the lasagne ... from Italians no less!
Anyway, I haven't ventured too much into the complicated stuff, but I hope that will change as I gain more confidence.
Look forward to trying out the recipes and the advice!
p.s. everyone here talks about the standard cookbook, but I think my Italian version is somewhat different!
