Introduce Yourself / Re: Hello from Ballarat

Hi everyone. Well, one step closer. I am having a demonstration next Monday morning. This will give my OH a chance to see the Thermomix in action. He's agreed to get one if it performs the way it says is does. I'm really looking forward to it.

If anyone in the Ballarat area (or anywhere else) would like to come along, please send me a message. The demo is on Monday, 23 November at 10.30.

Thanks Heather. A very nice consultant from Hoppers Crossing called me today.  I think Hoppers Crossing is closer to Ballarat than Horsham because of the freeway. I've  had a look at the vegetarian  recipes too. I think the Thermomix would be great for vegetarian cooking because there is quite a lot of prep involved in many dishes. There are quite a few vegetarians in my family, including me most of the time, so that's another reason to get a Thermomix. Let us know how the vegetarian recipes turn out.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Nay-nay that information about the mechanics is just the sort of thing I need to tell the OH. Once of his first comments was "What if something goes wrong? Then you won't have anything etc. etc" He will be reassured to know it's European designed and built.

Heather, congratulations on your new Thermomix. You must be so excited. What have you made in it so far? Do you have a local consultant or did someone have to come from elsewhere?

I noticed that many of you on the forum have had your Termomixes for quite some time and love them more than ever and use them regularly. That, more than anything, makes me think the money will be well spent. The more I read on this forum the more determined I am to buy one.

Hi. I'm Susan from Ballarat . Are there any other Thermomix fans around here? I have been saving for a Thermomix for some time, but would like to know as much as possible about it before I broach the subject with my other half. This forum has been a wonderful resource, with so much good advice and information, as well as encouragement and delicious recipes. I look forward to being part of it.
