If I doubled this recipe would it be too big a quantity for the TM, DH eats like a horse and I don't think this would be enough!

Chit Chat / My consultant seems to be MIA« on: April 20, 2010, 06:59:45 am »
Last weekend, I hosted my delivery demo, at which my MIL purchased and I placed an order for a couple of books and a second bowl and blade set.
But neither of us have heard a word from my consultant, I have emailed and tried to call several times, but I'm getting no response. So as a last resort I have just contacted head office to see if they know what on earth is going on! I certainly don't want to get anyone in trouble, but gosh, I've been waiting patiently for more than a week now. I hope my consultant is OK!! 5

Rainbow did you get the easy carbonara recipe off this forum? Sounds like a winner in this house!

Thanks Tenina! Would be nice if the other TMX staff were as helpful as you, I couldn't even get an answer on the phone today about whether or not it would ever be available let alone when! Cheers

Chit Chat / My Way of Cooking - How do I get a copy?« on: April 13, 2010, 06:47:38 am »
As per title, I seem to be having real troubles getting my hands on this book. My consultant has told me it's not available for general sale, as was only available as an incentive last month. Is this correct?
I very rarely get a chance to jump on the net to grab recipes, thanks to a 16 month old that can't seem to leave me only for 5 minutes, and a lack of printer at home, so I only really get to jump on when I'm at work, which is not always a great idea. Now I find out I can't get this book, and I can only buy the varoma full steam ahead book if I host a demo. Grrrrr.... Why don't they just sell books, I already forked out my $1949.00 now I just want some recipes! Any suggestions on how to get my hands on these books? 9
Chit Chat / Re: Didn't I read somewhere that Thermomix were launching a new website today?« on: April 01, 2010, 01:50:16 am »
Thanks! I'm wanting the bread mat, I'm sure I've seen a couple of recipes refer to the bread mat, but I just use the kitchen bench.
Would be very interested in purchasing books online though, my consultants a hard woman to catch. 10

Where is it? I'm dying here, I've been hanging out it see what accessories you can actually buy. I bought my thermomix over a month ago and still haven't had my demo so I haven't been able to pick my consultants brains.

Chit Chat / How do I steam chicken in the varoma?« on: March 12, 2010, 06:23:12 am »
Just wondering what speed to use and for how long? I'm making chicken pie and always cook the chicken first, but want to use the Tmx. TIA

Thanks JD! Next time I'll just get the ordinary thickened cream!

Chit Chat / Which cream for butter?« on: March 03, 2010, 11:35:40 am »
So I made my first lot of butter today, using fresh cream and it worked out great! However, both of my local supermarkets only stock one brand of fresh, non-thickened cream, and at $2+ for 300ml it doesn't seem like it's worth making!
Does anyone use the thickened cream? Does it work? TIA 14
Chit Chat / Re: Can you cook mash & steam vegies at the same time?« on: March 02, 2010, 03:05:00 am »
Ok, I think my problem is that I WASN'T using the varoma setting, just using 100deg as stated in the EDC book and there was just not enough steam, will try varoma next time!!!
Thanks for everyones suggestions! 15

Sorry cookie but I don't really understand what you mean? The vegies are always raw when the potatoes are ready, so should I put the vegies on first?
