Hi Nikkit, and others,
An updated announcement on TM HO's facebook page to say Vorwerk are extending the Australian warranty for affected machines by 12 months too ...

Hi Goldfish, thanks very much for alerting us to this. Sorry to hear you have ones in that range Itsnotartitsdinner and Nikkit, have you experienced the issue? I had the same thought as you Zebby, as we have a new seal purchased during that date range we have only just started using (no hot splashes yet, so will take extra care in future). The wording in the above release is identified that the sealing ring of the mixing bowl may not function properly in a small number of Thermomix Model 31 (TM31) appliances. So is it a potential problem with a small number of TMs, their seals or lids in those TMs? How about Bowl & Blade sets manufactured during the period? PS just saw this announcement on Thermomix UK's site, a bit more detailed than AU ... and offering an automatic extra 12 months warranty for affected machines (in the UK) ... http://thermomix.vorwerk.co.uk/tm31-sealing-ring/

I just wanted to pass on my appreciation. I have so loved checking in on this thread since it started - as a new model rumour in June - to a TM5 reality in September!! Thanks everyone, but special mention to Cookie1 for starting the thread; MM for letting it stay alive; Gert for being so well informed, Turando for being open with information as it came to hand; Faffa for the new specs so quickly; Helene for the latest on her blog, and thanks Chookie for despite it being Fathers Day, posting us a great side by side comparison, complete with pics We have had our TM31 for 4 years and we love it. I can understand the confusion and disappointment of those purchasing (unaware) so close to a new model being released, and hope if you approach HO you may get some satisfaction. But as pointed out in Thermoments' side by side video comparison (posted on Helene's blog) the TM31 is still a wonderfully brilliant machine! So if you have a brand new TM31 you are not sure you like yet, try not to stay disappointed, but instead maybe engage with the generous people on this forum and learn more about the miracle machine you have on your bench top. Good luck!

Just wanted to pop in and say a BIG thank you to Rara for putting me onto these evil muffin top tins. I am currently on a day off, enjoying a cup of tea with a warm banana and choc chip muffin top muffin ( or two!) and was reflecting on how I first heard about the muffin top tin. It was on the Taste TM thread a few years ago, and boy those triple choc muffins are so decadent. So 'bump' to this thread, and thanks again Rara. TimTam

Hi everyone, I emailed the UK over the weekend to enquire about placing an order. I got a reply from Louise saying it should be available to buy from the Aust HO soon, to save international postage. Just got off the phone from HO - they are going to start selling it from 25 November!!! Woohoo!! She also said it can be collected from HO for the Perthites to save on postage. I am sure they are going to sell out pretty quickly, just make sure you leave one for me!! TimTam

Okay Maddy, you win ... just placed the order, have been resisting as hard as I could (but the wine has made me weak). I got the pie maker on goodness knows whose recommendation (thanks ), and hubby now makes up pies with leftovers and freezes them, so we have our own "fast food" when we need it. I'm sure he will be happy with this too. Keh, whats another appliance?!! PS The Delisio Pizza place at the food hall upstairs at EnEx 100 (100 St Georges Terrace, above Greenhouse on the Terrace, or opposite Target on the Mall) for Perthites does the best Mushroom Trio pizza - topped with ricotta. Yum yum. Obviously thats why I bought the new machine, to save us the $6 for a huge slice. Naturally its all about the economy :-) TimTam x

Dear Judy, I just wanted to say how shocked and sorry I was to hear about Geoff. I haven't posted for ages, but was last night catching up reading about the Retreat and the wonderful gathering being planned with our inspriational forum members, of which you are our humble leader.
I know it sounds like Geoff won't be happy with you not going, but I am also so very thankful that you were not in transit or in WA at the time and able to be by his side. As others have said there will be other retreats, but you will be sorely missed at this one.
Holding you both in my thoughts, TimTam x x

Hi Hally I think you have an iPad or Iphone? So dare I say ... is there an App for that? . We have two fridge/freezers and I was going to try and get organised. Downloaded "ifroze" and "mini fridge", but haven't got any further than that. Let me know if you find a good fridge/freezer App. TimTam
