Connection fine with me.
Have noticed missing folder, but have found it easier to find things. Now can find anything from where I am and not have to go back to top folder if you can understand what I'm trying to say. 7

Well after reading this thread last night, decided it would be a good idea.
Found Pepperplate. Does anyone use this? This afternoon will go through the freezer and add everything to a spreadsheet and everying from the pantry too. So am wondering do I really need Pepperplate, have all my recipes in Evernote, or should I stick to spreadsheet and whiteboard? Any help would be really appreciated. Would really like to save money on shopping like Hally has done. There is only the two of us and we seem to spend a lot on shopping. 8

Just trim about 1cm and plant JD, always works for us. A gardener friend told us about it. We just snip the spring onions off with scissors, the ones in the garden and when we need to buy cut the ends off and then plant. Although doing this haven't had to buy spring onions for about 2 years.
During winter when we dont use as many just let them grow and they are just like onions. Big bulbs. 10

Hally, if you cut off spring onions about a centimetre from the base, they will regrow. Even if we have to buy some always cut off roots and plant, always work.

Pure Alcohol is made in a still, I know Gert has 1 and I do too. When the alcohol comes off the still its about 80 - 90%. We always take it back to 40%. I made it at 20% to take to the Gracetown Retreat weekend. 40% is the usual though.
I make lots of liqueurs and others like brandy, rum etc 12

Hi Princessbek, have two friends same as you, single households and work long hours. One has had hers about 2 years and the other 3 weeks. Both make meals when they can and freeze. But they both love it, still get phone calls when they have done something different.
They both enjoy having friends over now as it doesn't take long to whizz up a great meal. Hope this helps Sue |
